Empty Socks is a cartoon starring Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, released in 1927. It is notably the first Christmas-themed film produced by Walt Disney. The concept of the short would later be reused for the Mickey Mouse short Mickey's Orphans.

Long thought to be lost, a nitrate print was discovered in the Norwegian National Library in 2014, though with more than a minute of footage missing from the film.

Synopsis

Oswald plays Santa for a group of orphans.
