Beauty and the Beast (2017)[]
The Enchanted Book was given to the Beast by the Enchantress as a means of escaping to anywhere in the world whenever he chose. However, he never actually used it on account of him looking like a monster, so he left it in the castle library collecting dust.
When the Beast was talking with Belle about how they felt about their respective homes, he suggested "running away" and showed her the Enchanted Book while telling her what it can do. After telling her to envision where she wanted to go, she focuses on an old windmill in Paris that she and her family resided in while she was still a baby. It was there that they learned that Belle's mother was sick with the bubonic plague, forcing Maurice to escape Paris with their infant daughter. Overcome with the revelation, Belle sadly asked the Beast to bring them back to the castle.
