Encore! is an American reality web television series hosted by Kristen Bell and produced by Will Gluck. The series premiered with a pilot on December 10, 2017 and officially premiered on Disney+ on November 12, 2019.

On May 26, 2023, the series was removed from Disney+.

Premise

The series reunites the cast members of a high school musical to recreate their performance years after they originally performed.

Production

In April 2019, Disney+ ordered the series based on the special named Encore! by ABC which will be hosted and executive produced by Kristen Bell.

ABC special

ABC aired the original special, also titled Encore! on December 10, 2017, also hosted by Bell in which it reunited the cast of a 1997 South Hills High School production of Into the Woods to recreate their original performance. The original cast of the Encore! special included Carrie Commerford, Graham Beightol, Mark-Eugene Garcia, Kait Holbrook, Christy Carson Ratray, Dan Silva, Billy Vitale and Kristen Snowden of South Hills High School in West Covina, California.

Release

Encore! debuted on November 12, 2019, on the streaming service Disney+ in 4K HDR. Episodes were released weekly rather than all at once. A first trailer of the show was released on August 23, 2019, at the Disney+ Panel at D23 Expo 2019.
