"Escape from Cavigor" is the twenty-first episode of W.I.T.C.H. It first aired June 27, 2005.

Summary

Caleb learns that Elyon Brown's parents, the Browns, are being held in the forbidden underground prison at Cavigor. He and the Guardians plot a difficult escape: while a distraction from above draws guards upwards, Cornelia Hale will tunnel in from the Infinite City below.

Also, they will escape through a portal, and everyone will think that's how they got in. But one slip and Prince Phobos will discover the rebels’ secret subterranean hideout.

The plan goes smoothly until Lord Cedric and about a thousand soldiers show up. Irma Lair distracts Cedric while Hay Lin and Taranee Cook go to warn Will Vandom. Hay Lin opens all the cell gates, but also freeing the scuttlers. Taranee goes to help her, and Cornelia goes to help Irma. They escape in a nick of time as the scuttlers and Cedric were approaching.

In the B-story, Elyon wants to see her parents again and Hay Lin acts goofy.

Trivia

• This episode borrows many similar elements from W.I.T.C.H. comic/book #10, A Bridge Between Worlds: The monstrous Scuttlers guarding the prison; the Guardians breaking into the prison from underneath with Cornelia's help; and the fact that all the prisoners are set free.
• This episode was originally titled "Power Struggles".
