"Escape from Ghost Island" is the first segment of the ninety-seventh episode of Jake and the Never Land Pirates. It premiered on October 10, 2015 alongside "The Island of Doctor Undergear", and is the first segment of the second episode in the fourth season.
Plot[]
While sailing Bucky, Jake and his crew are watching glowing fish jumping in the Never Sea. Afterwards, Ghost Island appears, and Jake mentions that it holds the promise of an awesome ghostly treasure, one that once belonged to the evil pirate Captain Wraith. Just as Jake and his crew decide to check it out, the Jolly Roger passes by, meaning that Captain Hook and his crew have the same idea. Jake mentions to Cubby that the portal above the island is the legendary tunnel to Never-Nether Land, which is where old pirate ghosts like Captain Wraith are trapped in.
On Ghost Island, Captain Hook and his crew are looking for treasure. Sharky, Bones, and Mr. Smee are scared about it, but Captain Hook mentions that the island only appears at night, and he wants the treasure as soon as possible. Just then, Bucky's bell rings. Captain Hook then sees Jake and his crew arrive at the island before finding the treasure. Mr. Smee tries to warn Captain Hook about the treasure being a trap, but Captain Hook refuses to believe it. As he and Mr. Smee attempt to grab the treasure, they turn into ghosts. As Captain Hook tries to get the treasure chest to no avail, he hears Jake and his crew arriving, so he and Mr. Smee frighten their faces as real ghosts to scare them away.
Jake and his crew are then confronted by the ghosts, but Jake and Skully realize that they're Captain Hook and Mr. Smee, who then use their ghostly abilities to get the treasure. Sharky and Bones tell Jake and his crew that Captain Hook and Mr. Smee that they are ghosts because they touched the treasure. Jake assumes that the treasure is a trap to turn pirates into ghosts. Captain Wraith reveals that he is responsible for doing so, as he is a ghostly captain looking for a ghostly crew. He then tells Captain Hook and Mr. Smee that they are ghosts because they touched his treasure. When the sun rises, Ghost Island will disappear and any ghosts remaining will be the crew on Captain Wraith's ghost ship, the Sea Ghoul. They will plunder the ships of the Never Sea forever, as that is what ghost pirates do. Captain Wraith mentions that he is too clever to get pulled into Never-Nether Land.
As Jake tells Captain Wraith to turn Captain Hook and Mr. Smee back to normal, Captain Wraith tosses a gold doubloon to Jake, who turns into a ghost. Captain Wraith offers more treasure to Jake and Captain Hook's crews, who then run away from him. As they collide, Captain Wraith warns them that when all is said and done, they will all be a part of his crew. After the crews escape, Captain Hook refuses to be a part of Captain Wraith's ghost crew. Mr. Smee then comes up with an idea of sailing away from the island before it disappears, so that he, Captain Hook, and Jake can go back to normal. Captain Wraith then appears, and Jake, Mr. Smee, and Captain Hook decide to use their ghostly abilities to fight phantom with phantom while the others escape to their respective ships.
Jake, Mr. Smee, and Captain Hook hinder Captain Wraith in different ways, but Captain Wraith is still chasing everyone to their respective ships. The Sea Ghoul then appears next to them just as the sun begins to rise. As Captain Wraith picks Izzy, Cubby, Skully, Sharky, and Bones up until they touch his treasure, he notices the sunlight. As he attempts to turn them all into ghosts and make them join his crew, Jake takes the treasure, forcing Captain Wraith to let go of everyone. Jake then tosses the treasure to the portal. Captain Wraith catches it, but gets pulled into Never-Nether Land afterwards. Izzy uses her Pixie Dust to make everyone to back to their respective ships just as the island disappears, turning Jake, Mr. Smee, and Captain Hook back to normal. However, Captain Hook blames Mr. Smee for leaving with no treasure.
Back on Pirate Island, Jake and his crew put the gold doubloons they got into their Team Treasure Chest. In Neverland, Captain Hook and his crew stumble upon another treasure too easy to find. As someone inside laughs, Captain Hook thinks it's Captain Wraith again, and he and his crew run away, but afterwards, it is revealed that a monkey was inside the chest.
