"Escape from the Tethoscape" is the first segment of the twenty-eighth episode of Miles from Tomorrowland. It premiered on November 21, 2015 alongside "The Hitchhiker's Ride Through the Galaxy".

Plot[]

While the Callistos are leaving the Stellosphere with the Star Jetter, Miles shows Loretta what she thinks is the same Adventure Orb the Callistos played in many times. Miles says that that is the new and improved Adventure Orb that just opened. He then shows the new feature, stating that all the bouncing helps charge the Tethoscape. Loretta likes that, and states that jumping on the trampolines turns your kinetic energy, an energy caused by movement, into electrical energy. Miles thinks it is spacetastic when Leo and Phoebe announce that they are on Planet Ephesus, and the mission is to pick up a Tomorrowland Transit Authority rover that keeps breaking down and send it to the TTA mechanical shop for an upgrade. Since the shop is on the Tethoscape, Miles hopes the Callistos are there long enough for a few jumps on the Adventure Orb.

The Callistos then land on the planet, with Leo using his Exo-Flex suit. They then find some creatures, who believe they took apart the rover. According to Loretta's Bracelex, the creatures are called Cocoros, which she thinks are beyond adorable. They travel in large packs and are known for being very playful and curious. Miles thinks that they took apart a rover to see what it is made of. While gathering the rover, Miles wonders why they only saw four Cocoros, and Leo assumes that some others were watching them from somewhere. More Cocoros appear inside the gathered pieces, which the Callistos fail to recognize.

Once back in the Stellosphere, Leo says that the Callistos may have a little free time at the Tethoscape, and they agree to try the new Adventure Orb. Miles, Loretta, and M.E.R.C. will wait in line while Leo and Phoebe bring the rover to the mechanic shop. Once Leo and Phoebe are at the shop, they see no one because Phoebe thinks the mechanics must be at dinner. They decide to leave the rover there, but after they leave, the Cocoros escape and start causing mischief.

Miles, Loretta, and M.E.R.C. are in line when the Cocoros cause more mischief, turning off the Tethoscape's solar power and switching to backup fuel cells. It is also announced that the Adventure Orb is closed as a precaution until Tethoscape electrical issues can be resolved. This disappoints Miles, Loretta, and M.E.R.C., who decide to grab something to eat until it reopens.

Meanwhile, while Leo and Phoebe take an elevator to the main floor, they fail to notice the power turning off. Miles, Loretta, and M.E.R.C. are at the Floovox Grille when they realize that something is wrong there, as well. Lysander informs them of the situation, and Miles and Loretta realize that the Cocoros hitched a ride with them, and think this is their fault.

Leo and Phoebe go past the main floor and notice the power surges. The lift pod suddenly stops, and this is when they realize the Cocoros are causing the mischief. They then inform Miles, Loretta, and M.E.R.C. of such, and Miles says they found them. Leo and Phoebe then task Miles, Loretta, and M.E.R.C. to round up the Cocoros before they take apart the station. Leo activates the emergency stairs, but there are not enough. Phoebe decides for him and Leo to head to the control room to restore power, and Leo uses his Blastbuckle tether for him and Phoebe to get there.

Eventually, Miles, Loretta, and M.E.R.C. gain control of the Cocoros with M.E.R.C. flinging one into the others, but more Cocoros sling M.E.R.C. into them. It is then announced that the power cells are depleted, and power is only reserved for gravity generators and emergency lights. The Tethoscape is then heading for the Moon. It is at that point that Loretta no longer finds the Cocoros adorable.

Leo and Phoebe make it to the control room, and realize that the Cocoros are responsible for the mess. The Tethoscape is the way it is because the Cocoros turned on the Tethoscape's positioning thrusters, and Leo is unable to reverse them. The thrusters were pointing towards the Moon, as well. They then call Miles and Loretta, who decide to charge the fuel cells through movement in the Adventure Orb. It will take a whole pack of Cocoros and the Callistos to create enough energy. Miles and Loretta ride M.E.R.C. to the Adventure Orb, and the Cocoros follow him there. The Callistos and the Cocoros then head in the Adventure Orb, and while they bounce on the trampolines, the fuel cells begin to charge. Eventually, the thrusters re-engage, stopping the Tethoscape right before it hits the Moon, and placing it to its original position.

Lieutenant Luminix tells the Callistos that he has rounded up all of the Cocoros, who will be fine, and will bring them to Planet Ephesus where they belong. After the Callistos discuss their options about their free time, Phoebe decides for them to try the Adventure Orb again, and the Callistos bounce on its trampolines while enjoying it.
