Career[]
Isidore began his acting career by appearing in various short films, such as L'Evasion, Debout, ILS, and Au Revoir Tom Selleck, which won the Grand Prix CinéBanlieue 2019 and earned him a special mention for 'best male interpretation' by the jury. He also starred in the Franco-Canadian interactive virtual reality experience Les Passagers, which won the Canadian Screen Prize for Best Immersive Work 2022. In 2021, he was cast as one of the main characters in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, the fifth and final installment of the Indiana Jones franchise. He played Teddy Kumar, the sneaky sidekick of Helena Shaw (Waller-Bridge), who is Indy's goddaughter. He filmed for eight months alongside Ford and Waller-Bridge in various locations, such as London, Glasgow, Sicily, and Morocco. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on May 18, 2023, where Isidore received positive reviews for his performance.
Isidore revealed that he was a huge fan of Indiana Jones before joining the film and that he used to watch the movies almost every weekend with his parents. He also said that he didn't expect to get the role and that he just wanted to have fun during the audition. He impressed the casting director Mathilde Snodgrass with his improvisation skills and his ability to speak English with different accents.
Isidore described working with Ford and Waller-Bridge as an amazing experience and said that they were very kind and supportive of him. He said that Ford helped him with his flying scenes and that Waller-Bridge was like a big sister to him. They even came up with their own special handshake on set. At the end of the shoot, they gave him an electric guitar as a gift and wrote him a letter saying how much they enjoyed working with him.
Isidore also praised Mangold as a great director who gave him a lot of freedom and guidance. He said that Mangold encouraged him to be himself and to bring his own personality to the character of Teddy. He also said that Mangold was very patient and understanding with him when he had to juggle his schoolwork with his filming schedule.
Isidore is set to appear in another epic franchise soon: he will play a young version of Tom Holland's character Nathan Drake in Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, a video game adaptation directed by Ruben Fleischer.
