Even Stevens is a Disney Channel Original Series that aired from 2000 to 2003, ending with its own Disney Channel Original Movie The Even Stevens Movie. The movie was released on DVD in 2005, and the Christmas episode is featured on the Disney Channel Holiday DVD. It follows the life of the Stevens, a family living in suburban Sacramento, California, mainly focusing on the clashing personalities of their two younger siblings, Ren and Louis.

The series was produced by Brookwell McNamara Entertainment. It is often cited as launching Shia LaBeouf's breakout career as an actor. The show also features fast motion photography, which it employs in every episode.

The feature-length Disney Channel Original Movie based on the series The Even Stevens Movie premiered on June 13, 2003, and serves as the series finale.

From its launch in 2009 to 2010, re-runs of the series were shown on Disney XD. Since 2017, Even Stevens has been removed from television syndication altogether. Despite the show being added to Disney+ on November 12, 2019, it became available on other streaming services on March 30, 2020.


Special guest stars include Carlos Alazraqui, Richard Kind, Phyllis Diller, Audrey Wasilewski, Jason Marsden, and Marvin Kaplan.

International Distribution Rights[]

Despite being co-produced and owned by Disney, Disney chose not to directly handle international distribution of the series, instead allowing a third party to do the work.

Canadian company Fireworks Entertainment distributed the series everywhere outside North America. Currently, the non-North American rights to the series are with Fireworks' successor company Content Media Corporation PLC.
