"Everybody's Got a Laughing Place" (also titled as "Everybody Has a Laughing Place") is a song from the 1946 Disney film Song of the South, sung by Br'er Rabbit and Br'er Bear. The song plays in the last Br'er Rabbit segment where Br'er Rabbit starts laughing and Br'er Fox attempted to eat him which reminds the former of looking for the "Laughing Place" as the two take Br'er Rabbit to the spot where it is supposed to be, only for Br'er Rabbit to fool Br'er Fox and Br'er Bear into a beehive, unleashing a swarm of bees to foil the two and chase them away, as Br'er Rabbit continues laughing happily that he found his "Laughing Place".
The song was also included in the videos Disney Sing Along Songs: I Love to Laugh! and Disney Sing Along Songs: Collection of All Time Favorites: The Early Years. It is also featured in the Splash Mountain attractions at various Disney Parks.
Lyrics[]
Br'er Rabbit: Hee, hee, hee, hee, ha, ha, ha!
Boy am I in luck!
I think about my laughin' place
Yuk, yuk, yuk, yuk, yuk! Ha-yuk, yuk!
Everybody's got a laughin' place,
A laughin' place, to go ho-ho!
Take a frown, turn it upside-down
And you'll find yours I know ho-ho!
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!
Boy am I in luck!
Br'er Bear: I think about that laughin' place,
Ha-yuk, yuk, yuk, yuk, yuk!
Both: Everybody's got a laughin' place,
A laughin' place, to go ho-ho!
Take a frown, turn it upside-down
And you'll find yours I know ho-ho!
Everybody has a laughin' place,
A laughin' place, to go ho-ho!
Take a frown, turn it upside-down
And you'll find yours I know ho-ho!
When you're blue and feeling low,
That's the time to go ho, ho!
Old Man Trouble will leave, I know
When he hears your ho, ho, ho!
Ha, ha, ha, ha
Ho, ho, ho!
Boy am I in luck!
I think about my laughin' place,
And yuk, yuk, yuk, yuk, yuk, yuk, yuk, yuk yuk!
Everybody has a laughin' place,
A laughin' place, to go ho-ho!
Take a frown, turn it upside-down
And you'll find yours I know ho-ho!
Everybody has a laughin' place,
A laughin' place, to go ho-ho!
Take a frown, turn it upside-down
And you'll find yours I know ho-ho!
Everybody has a laughin' place,
Laughin' place, to go ho-ho!
Find a grin, bring it right on in
And you'll find yours I know ho-ho!
Ha, ha, ha, ha
Ho, ho, ho!
Boy am I in luck!
I think about my laughin' place,
And yuk, yuk, yuk, yuk, yuk, yuk, yuk, yuk yuk!
Everybody has a laughin' place,
A laughin' place, to go ho-ho!
Take a frown, turn it upside-down
And you'll find yours I know ho-ho!
Everybody has a laughin' place,
A laughin' place, to go ho-ho!
Take a frown, turn it upside-down
And you'll find yours I know ho-ho!
Hee, hee, hee, hee, ho, ho, ho
Boy, are we in luck!
We're visiting our laughing place
Yuk-yuk-yuk-yuk-yuk-yuk-yuk-yuk
Everybody's got a laughing place

And you'll find yours I say-hey-hey
And soon you'll find you're here to stay
(repeat above)
Everybody has a laughing place
A learning place, a mystery place
Everybody has a nature place
And we've got yours, you know-ho-ho
We have got your future place
A window on tomorrow, ho
An interface with the human race
Where great ideas can grow, ho-ho
Ha-ha-ha-ha, ho-ho-ho
Boy, are you in luck
Come join us in our laughing place
Meet Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck
Everybody needs a caring place
Where wishes all come true, ooh-ooh
Everybody needs a sharing place
And we'll share ours with you, ooh-ooh
We have got your dreaming place
Where every day's a rainbow chase
A place that's locked in memory
The Disney Channel is the key
We have got your glitter place
No theatre place to watch a show
Opening night by satellite
And each performance all aglow
So if you're looking for a laughing place
A learning place, a mystery place
A caring place, a sharing place
A growing place, a future place
If you're looking for a family place
The Disney Channel is your place!

- In the official soundtrack for Song of the South, the song begins with an instrumental score which plays during Johnny's birthday party just before the verse loops into the "Everybody's Got a Laughing Place" verse, followed by Br'er Rabbit's verse.
- When the song was used in the Disney Sing Along Songs, it had different singers and used clips of various Disney characters laughing (listed below), in addition to the Song of the South scene that the song is sung in. Additionally, it starts off with the second verse of the instrumental score that plays during Johnny's birthday party just before looping into the "Everybody's Got a Laughing Place" verse and later Br'er Rabbit's verse.
