"Family Treasure Hunt" is the first segment of the twenty-sixth episode of Ariel. It premiered on August 18, 2025 alongside "Remy's Big Feelings".
Plot[]
King Triton is preparing a soup for Ariel's Nana Xola, and it needs more spice. Ursula makes it more spicy. Flounder wonders if Nana Xola should be the Queen of Atlantica. Ursula mentions that Xola, her and Triton's mother, decided to go out into the ocean and have one exiting adventure after another. So, Triton became the new king. Nana Xola then arrives and is happy to see everyone. Triton tells Ariel to give Nana Xola a little rest. However, Nana Xola decides for them to go on a family treasure hunt, and they like the idea. Nana Xola found a treasure map a long time ago and hid it somewhere in the room.
After some searching, Nana Xola tells Ariel to try again. Ariel finds out that the vase is the map, which leads Ariel and the others to the next clue, and they follow Nana Xola while singing about the joy of family adventure. Later, Ariel checks the vase and see tiny words stating that once at Ponder Reef Valley, the family must follow the rainbow to the next clue.
Ariel asks Ursula to make magic, and Ursula makes a rainbow appear. Flounder follows the rainbow, but Nana Xola tells Ursula that magic won't work like that and reminds Ariel to try again. Eventually, Ariel spots a rainbow fish, and she and her family follow it. Ursula then finds the clue, stating that they should see what the dolphin is looking at.
Triton calls out to the dolphins, followed by everyone else, and Ariel decides to swim higher to spot a dolphin. She spots a rock looking just like a dolphin, and it is looking at Crystal Falls. Ariel assumes that the treasure is behind the falls, and she and her family make it there. Triton tries to open the treasure to no avail. Ariel spots writing stating that they have the key. Triton decides for the family to head back home, but Ariel reminds them to try again, which they agree. Flounder checks the vase, but it lands on him. Ariel sees that the bottom of the vase contains a shell, just like the one on the treasure box, which is the key, opening the chest. Ariel mentions that they did it as a family. The treasure is a glow crystal, which is very rare and only found in Atlantica. Ariel will take good care of it, and every time she looks at it, she'll think of the treasure hunt. Ariel then keeps it in the crystal cavern before going to tell Lucia and Fernie about the treasure hunt.
