"Fangless" is the first segment of the twenty-first episode of Vampirina. It premiered on July 27, 2018 alongside "Transylvanian Tea".
Plot[]
At school, Vampirina tells Poppy and Bridget that what she likes better than their class is their assignment, which is to make sculptures of themselves. As Vampirina and Poppy go to fix Bridget's sculpture, Mr. Gore tells them to focus on the things that makes them themselves, through and through. Bridget will to give her sculpture glasses, Poppy will give her sculpture hair, and Vampirina will give her sculpture fangs. She mentions that as long as she has her fangs, she is still a vampire from Transylvania.
As Vampirina eats her lunch, something happens to her fangs, but refuses to tell Poppy and Bridget about it. As she heads to the bathroom, she finds out that her fangs are loose. She tries to push them back in tight, but they fall off. Just then, the bell rings. Upon returning to class, Vampirina tells Poppy and Bridget what happened to her fangs. Poppy says that that's no big deal, as all kids lose their teeth when they grow up. When they fall out, new teeth are grown. Bridget reveals that that's what happened to her. Vampirina compliments it, but Bridget wonders if Vampirina grows human teeth. Vampirina states that a vampire without fangs is like a skeleton without bones, a bat without wings, and a haunted house without haunts. She lost what makes her herself.
Upon returning home, Vampirina is kissed by Boris, who has to deal with a loose troll, and Oxana, who also goes after mentioning Chef Remy Bones making a snack for her. As Bones gives Vampirina her snack, she tells Bones that she doesn't want Critter Claw Crumpets without her fangs. Demi and Gregoria then tell Vampirina what's going on, but she doesn't want to talk about it. When Demi puts the snack on Gregoria's face, Vampirina reveals her fangs that fell out, and tells Demi and Gregoria about it. Demi then puts carrots as a replacement for the fangs, but Vampirina rejects it. Gregoria then attempts a spell to make Vampirina's fangs return, but it only changes her hair to pink. Gregoria quickly reverts her hair to normal. Gregoria then admits that he's not that great at magic potions. Vampirina admits that her time away from Transylvania is turning her human. She states that being a human isn't bad at all, but she likes being herself. After Demi suggests it, Vampirina decides to tell Oxana and Boris about it.
After changing into her pajamas and going to sleep, she tells them that she's not a real vampire anymore due to her fangs falling out at school. Oxana and Boris understand the feeling, and Oxana states that Vampirina lost her baby fangs to make way for her grown-up fangs. Boris tells Vampirina that to get the grown-up fangs, she should put her baby fangs under her pillow. They then open a window to summon the Fang Fairy. He mentions that losing kid fangs just shows that Vampirina is growing up, but she will always be herself, through and through. Boris, Oxana, and the Fang Fairy then sing a song that reassures that no matter what happens, Vampirina will always be herself.
The Fang Fairy then plays his guitar so that Vampirina gets brand-new grown-up fangs for a vampire that's growing up. He tells her to keep being herself. A much better Vampirina admits that getting tucked in for bed is a part of what makes her herself. The next day at school, Poppy and Bridget assure Vampirina that it's okay if she's a human. Vampirina then quickly organizes her sculpture with new fangs, and tells Poppy and Bridget about her grown-up fangs. They are proud to hear that. Vampirina states that although she may not be in Transylvania anymore, she's still a vampire, and she'll always be herself, no matter what.
