Alien is an upcoming live-action television series that will air on Hulu, Star+ and Disney+. Announced on December 10, 2020, as part of Disney's Investor Day presentation, a new TV series based on the franchise was revealed to be in development by FX, with Noah Hawley and Ridley Scott being involved. It will be set on Earth in the near future.[1]

On August 28, 2023, Deadline reported that Kit Young, Alex Lawther, Samuel Blenkin, Essie Davis and Adarsh Gourav joined the cast of the series as CJ, Boy Kavalier, Dame Silvia and Slightly respectively, and that the series halted filming due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike in Bangkok, Thailand.[3]
On November 8, 2023, in an interview with The Wrap, Noah Hawley revealed that the series is aiming to premiere in early 2025, with filming hoping to resume in February 2024.[6]
On November 27, 2023, Deadline reported that Timothy Olyphant joined the cast in a major role, playing Kirsh, a synth who acts as a mentor and trainer for Wendy who is a hybrid, a meta-human who has the brain and consciousness of a child but the body of an adult.[4]
On November 28, 2023, Deadline reported that David Rysdahl joined the cast in an undisclosed role.[5]
