Avril Ramona Lavigne is a Canadian actress and singer-songwriter. At age 16, she signed a two-album recording contract with Arista Records, and is best known for being a key musician in pop punk music development, including her best-selling debut studio album Let Go (2002). She is also well-known for voicing Heather the opossum in the 2006 DreamWorks animated film Over the Hedge and Snow White in the 2018 computer-animated musical comedy film Charming.
For Disney, she co-wrote the song "Breakaway" for Kelly Clarkson, which can be heard in the 2004 film The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. She also contributed to the song "Alice" in Tim Burton's 2010 film Alice in Wonderland.
