Matthew David McConaughey is an American actor and producer, who is best known for his roles in various films, such as Tripp in the 2006 romantic comedy film Failure to Launch, Connor Mead in the 2009 romantic supernatural comedy film Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, Dallas in the 2012 comedy-drama film Magic Mike, and Cooper in the 2014 epic sci-fi film Interstellar. He also portrayed Detective Rustin "Rust" Cohle in the HBO crime drama series True Detective, as well as voiced Hanzo/Beetle in the 2016 Laika stop-motion action fantasy film Kubo and the Two Strings and Buster Moon in the 2016 Universal/Illumination animated musical comedy film Sing and its 2021 sequel.
