Colin James Farrell is an Irish actor, who is well known for his roles as Danny Witwer in Steven Spielberg's Minority Report, In Bruges, Detective Ray Velcoro in HBO's True Detective, The Lobster, Captain John Smith in The New World, Percival Graves in Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them (the Fantastic Beasts franchise serving as a prequel to the Harry Potter film series), and Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin in Matt Reeves' The Batman. He also voiced Ronin in the 2013 Blue Sky animated film Epic.
For Disney, he played James Douglas Clayton in Touchstone Pictures' The Recruit, Tattooed Boy in Veronica Guerin, and Jerry Dandridge in Fright Night. He also portrayed Travers Robert Goff (P.L. Travers' father) in the 2013 Disney biographical drama film Saving Mr. Banks, Holt Farrier in the 2019 live-action adaptation of Dumbo, and Artemis Fowl I in Artemis Fowl.
