The Disney Wish is the fifth and largest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet.
It was originally set to make its maiden voyage on June 9, 2022. However, it was delayed to July 14, 2022, since the opening date was postponed indefinitely following the temporary closure of the cruise industry due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Inspired by the beauty of a fairytale castle, the Grand Hall makes a bold welcoming statement, setting the tone for an enchanted family vacation from the moment guests step onboard the Disney Wish. It is an ideal setting for Cinderella, whose timeless story is the perfect example of magic transforming wishes into dreams, and dreams into reality.
The Disney Wish is the first of four new ships joining the Disney Cruise Line fleet through 2025. All three ships are powered by liquefied natural gas and, at approximately 144,000 gross tons and 1,250 guest staterooms, are slightly larger than the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy.
On April 8, 2021, it was announced that Minnie Mouse would serve as the captain taking the helm of the Disney Wish.[1]
