John Gavin Malkovich is an American actor, screenwriter, theater director, producer, and fashion designer. He is best known for playing a fictionalized version of himself in the 1999 fantasy comedy-drama film Being John Malkovich. He also voiced Dave the octopus in the 2014 DreamWorks animated film Penguins of Madagascar.
For Disney, he played Older Carlitos Paez in the 1993 Touchstone Pictures film Alive, Cyrus "The Virus" Grissom in Con Air, Teddy "KGB" in the 1998 Miramax film Rounders, Humma Kavula in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and Lucien Laurin in Secretariat.
