Mary Neil Steenburgen is an American actress. She is probably best known for playing Lynda Dummar in the 1980 film Melvin and Howard and Clara Clayton in the Back to the Future franchise.
For Disney, she played Ginny Grainger in One Magic Christmas, Jessie Caldwell in the 1995 Hollywood Pictures film Powder, Hannah Milhous Nixon in the 1995 Hollywood Pictures film Nixon, Joanie Fisher in the 2003 Touchstone Pictures film Hope Springs, Grace Paxton in the 2009 Touchstone Pictures film The Proposal, and Elaine Stein in the 2011 Dreamworks/Touchstone Pictures film The Help.
