"Boara Boara" is the first segment from the first episode of Timon & Pumbaa. It aired on September 8, 1995.
Synopsis[]
Timon and Pumbaa intend to go skiing, but they end up on a tropical island. After changing out of their winter clothes, they put on some beach attire. They believe themselves to be alone, unaware that The Three Natives are watching them from the bushes. Timon begins sipping on a pineapple drink, but, when Pumbaa does not acknowledge him, he becomes worried about his pal.
Meanwhile, in the jungle, the natives tie the warthog to a platter and begin chopping vegetables until the Native Chief tells them that he is actually the king of prophecy. When Timon stumbles into their village (after being eaten by an alligator and crushed by a rock) he is shocked and slightly angry to see Pumbaa on the throne. He throws the crown on the ground, shattering it and causing the natives to take him to the volcano for a sacrifice.
Oblivious to everything else, Timon is carried up the mountain while he tells them his demands as king. He is tossed in but he leaps out after he senses the danger. He latches onto the chief's staff and refuses to be shaken off. He begs them to spare him saying he will do anything. He is made to wait on Pumbaa hand-and-foot by feeding him, filling up the king's mud bath, and grinding his hooves. When the fire on the altar in front of the totem pole goes out, Pumbaa is called on to reignite the fire. An unexpected lightning storm appears and a lightning strike starts the fire but the flame is quenched by the rain.
The chief is enraged by the imposter king and sets his men to capture Timon and Pumbaa. The duo run but are cornered. To distract their pursuers, the meerkat plays the bongo drums and they run while the natives dance. The king hits his three natives with his staff but they remove their masks to reveal that they are normal people participating in "Be a Native Weekend." As they get far enough away, Timon and Pumbaa stumble upon an already settled corner of their so-called uncharted island.
