Stephen Glenn "Steve" Martin is an American actor, comedian, writer, producer, and musician. He is best known for writing The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour and later appearing as a frequent guest on The Tonight Show. He is also well-known for his various film roles, such as voicing Hotep in the 1998 DreamWorks animated film The Prince of Egypt, as well as playing Orin Scrivello in the 1986 horror comedy musical film Little Shop of Horrors, Neal Page in the 1987 comedy film Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Tom Baker in the 2003 Fox film Cheaper by the Dozen and its 2005 sequel, Mr. Chairman in the 2003 Warner Bros. hybrid film Looney Tunes: Back in Action, and Inspector Jacques Clouseau in the 2006 comedy-mystery film The Pink Panther and its 2009 sequel.

Martin has also had a long-time connection with Disney, selling guidebooks and working at the Main Street Magic Shop at Disneyland, as well as having his first job and learning comedy from Wally Boag over at the Golden Horseshoe Revue. He states in his autobiography that Boag was one of his earliest influences in comedy.

Years later, Martin guest-starred on The Muppet Show, as well as portrayed the insolent waiter in The Muppet Movie and George Banks in the 1991 Touchstone Pictures film Father of the Bride and its 1995 sequel. He was also one of the Interstitial Hosts for Fantasia 2000 and in 2005, alongside Donald Duck, he hosted the attraction Disneyland: The First 50 Magical Years to celebrate the park's 50th anniversary.

Additionally, he wrote the 2020 Disney+ film Magic Camp, as well as portrayed Michael McCann in A Simple Twist of Fate and Peter Sanderson in Bringing Down the House. He most recently played Charles-Haden Savage in the Hulu series Only Murders in the Building, which he also co-created and produced.
