This article is about the character from Kim Possible. For the character in Finding Nemo, see Gill. For the Quack Pack character, see Gil.

Gil Moss, better known as Gill,[1] was a former camper at Camp Wannaweep, and an antagonist in the TV show Kim Possible. Gill has the distinction of being one of the few members of the rogue gallery to be one of Ron Stoppable's rogues, along with Lord Monkey Fist.

Background[]

Powers and Abilities[]

Gill is an avid swimmer. He also seemed to have an innate knowledge of how devices work and are skilled at sabotage work, as he managed to sabotage a communications camp as well as various pipes, which had earlier been implied by his previous place being "Arts and Crafts" before the switch. In addition, as evidenced by both his appearances, he was also a methodological planner, having planned various factors and manipulated events so he can come close to succeeding.

Post-mutation, he also gained the ability to infect others into becoming mutants by hitting them with gunk either through direct bodily contact or by spitting the gunk out. When he was restored to his human form, he also seems to mutate when near high-concentrations of the same substance that mutated him, as implied when Ron discovered monstrous footprints when tailing Gil when he was searching for the magic mucka. After his second mutation, he gained even more abilities, such as a larger spitting volume and chameleon/octopus-like camouflage abilities as well as the ability to have an extendable object on his body.

Role in the series[]

Early life[]

During childhood, Gil Moss went to Camp Wannaweep. He was an avid swimmer, and also somewhat of a bully towards Ron Stoppable, considering him a "squeeb". He ended up switching arts and crafts with Ron in exchange for the swim hour, an event that would come back to haunt both of them. Because of the switch, he ended up eventually mutating into a hybrid fish-man as a result of Lake Wannaweep being polluted by Science Camp with mutagenesis biohazard. Because of this, he ended up wanting revenge on Ron.

"Sink or Swim"[]

Having somehow tracked Ron Stoppable down to Middleton High School, a now teenaged Gil, who has changed his name to Gill to fit his current mutated appearance, has managed to send a fake message about a cheerleading competition somewhere in close proximity to the closed-down camp. In addition, to further ensure that his revenge plans work, he sabotaged all communications from the camp so the squad cannot call 9-1-1. Gill then abducts Barkin and two other members of the cheerleading squad with the intention of mutating them as part of his revenge scheme against Ron, eventually managing to get the entire squad. After explaining what has happened to him and what his intentions are, he then hunts down Ron with an almost predatory method. Eventually, Gill manages to track Ron to Lake Wannaweep, but Ron ends up tricking Gill into being snared in his trap in a boat that is rigged to crash into the docks. Gill is then placed in a biochem unit to restore him to his human self, although not before vowing revenge against Ron.

"Return to Camp Wannaweep"[]

Gill is then restored to Gil and starts to live a normal life as a mascot of another high school's football team. But he begins to miss his old abilities, so he arranges for a cheerleading competition (this time, legitimate) to be redirected to a newly reinstated and redone Camp Wannaweep (whose name has been changed) by sabotaging pipes at the original location. He plans this so he can access a grotto hidden in the newly cleaned lake that had a high concentration of the biohazardous waste to restore him to his mutated form. He manages to do so and starts attacking the camp with enhanced abilities, including a camouflage technique similar to a chameleon or an octopus. He is ultimately defeated at Clown Camp and his rampage is stopped. Gill is later reinstated at a biochem unit for more recovery, this time with more strict monitoring.

Episode Appearances[]

Trivia[]

  • Gill's mutated appearance bears a resemblance to the Swamp Monster legend.
  • Gill's monstrous appearance is also based on the Gill-Man creature from The Creature from the Black Lagoon.
  • Although Gill is explicitly stated to have developed gills from his mutation, he has little problem operating on land post-mutation, implying that he possessed a binary respiratory system and his mutant form is amphibious in nature.

Best way for Ron Stoppable to teach Gil Moss about no stalking is what led Gil Moss to be outsmarted by Ron Stoppable.
    • In Return to Camp Wannaweep, he was still stalking Ron Stoppable with the camouflage power to make him learn that it was the best way to get his attention with turning everyone into mutants.

    • He did the same thing in Return to Camp Wannaweep with the other campers.
  5. False Imprisonment

  6. Torture
    • When he revealed his plan about the slime projection in Sink or Swim, it was a version on torture because Mr. Barkin was gaining gills and scales were seen. In Return to Camp Wannaweep, he revealed that his plan was to turn the participants to mutants with the slime being spat on the participants.
  7. Animal Cruelty
    • In Return to Camp Wannaweep, he was spitting his slime on beaver Ron Stoppable in which it was meant to harm Ron, had Ron not bit off a large piece of wood to deflect him then Ron Stoppable would have been able to dodge the attack.
  8. Parole Violation
    • In Return to Camp Wannaweep, he reveals that he was searching for the toxic grotto that gave him his mutant abilities in which it can result in the crimes being added from Act 3 of the episode in which it can realistically put him at Parole Violation, because Dr. Lurkin revealed that he didn't set more limitations for Gil Moss to acknowledge his parole.
  9. Terrorism
    • When Gil Moss screamed in order to gain the attention of the rest of the campers, he frightened the rest of the campers in Return to Camp Wannaweep, and that it led him to be seen terrorizing the campers for the sake of gaining revenge on Ron Stoppable his former rival in which it could mean that some of the rivalry may have not ended because he swore to Ron Stoppable that his revenge is far from over, he was not seen for the rest of the television series in which it could implicate that he is incarcerated for his crimes.
  10. Assault
    • He was able to dash at Ron to attack him in Sink and Swim and use his slime restraint to restrain anyone such as the cheerleaders, in Return to Camp Wannaweep, he was able to use the slime spit to attack Ron and to also captivate Bonnie Rockwaller, Kim Possible, Steve Barkin.
    • In Return to Campwannaweep, he failed to attack Ron in his new mutant form with the tongue snare and that he remembered that Ron Stoppable used his evasive trick on Gil from Sink or Swim.
  11. Biological Terrorism
    • His slime manipulation is what allowed the mutation to cause in both episodes Sink or Swim.
    • Return to Camp Wannaweep to turn the participants into mutants is why it can be seen to mutate anyone.
  12. Vandalism
    • Mr. Barkin was able to understand that there were plumbing issues at Middleton and that it was in the easy version to learn that Gil Moss was who destroyed the pipes, used a green coat of paint to cover over Camp Wannaweep in Return to Camp Wannaweep.
  13. Destruction of Property
    • Sink or Swim, he used his slime projection to imprison the cheerleaders in cabin 13 in which the house exploded and that he also was able to stalk Ron Stoppable to Crafts cabin in which he used the slime projection to destroy everything else in the cabin, in Act 1 he was able to use the tire spikes to blow the tires of Middleton Cheerleader Bus to trap everyone else in the camp.
    • Return to Camp Wannaweep, he sabotaged the pipes to get all the participants to be at Camp Wannaweep for his revenge on Ron Stoppable in which it failed.
  14. Fraud
    • Sink or Swim, he stole receivers from Telecommunications camp revealed from Kim Possible, in which it was able to also fair to say that he could realistically have been in a juvenile detention because realistically he would have been charged with a federal crime of Fraud by theft of equipment from Telecommunications Camp.
    • In Act 2 of Return to Camp Wannaweep, he was causing interference from the equipment stolen from telecommunications camp.
  15. Sabotage
    • In Sink or Swim, he used the tire spikes to blow the tires on the bus for Middleton Cheerleaders, Ron Stoppable and Steve Barkin.

  18. Disorderly Conduct
    • He smashed a tree stock to show that he was willing to carry his plan of mutating people in Return to Camp Wannaweep.
  19. Endangerment
    • He was causing people to be afraid of him in which it was in both episodes that he endangered the participants of Middleton in Sink or Swim
    • He also made people to be afraid of him in Return to Camp Wannaweep with spitting on people to turn them into mutants in which it can also fall into
  20. Hacking
    • Sink or Swim, he stole the equipment to jam the communications of cell phones from Telecommunications camp.
