John William "Will" Ferrell is an American actor, comedian, writer, and producer, best known for being a cast member on NBC's Saturday Night Live (1995–2002). He is also well-known for his various film roles, such as Jacobim "Mugatu" Moogberg in the Zoolander films, Buddy Wells Hobbs in the 2003 Christmas comedy film Elf, Ron Burgundy in the Anchorman franchise, the titular character of the 2006 sports comedy film Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Brennan Huff in the 2008 comedy film Step Brothers, Dr. Rick Marshall in the 2009 sci-fi adventure comedy film Land of the Lost, and Brad Whitaker in the Daddy's Home films. Additionally, he voiced the Man with the Yellow Hat in the 2006 film adaptation of Curious George, the titular character of DreamWorks' Megamind, and both voiced Lord Business and portrayed "The Man Upstairs"/Finn and Bianca's father in The LEGO Movie franchise. He also played the CEO of Mattel in the live-action Barbie film and voiced Reggie in the R-rated Universal Pictures comedy film Strays (both released in 2023).
For Disney, he voiced Geryon in the Hercules TV series. He also posed, alongside Jack Black and Jason Segel, as one of the Hitchhiking Ghosts in "Where You Can Go On The Ride of Your Afterlife" in the Disney Dream Portrait Series. Additionally, he portrayed Marshal Willenholly in the 2001 Miramax film Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Pete in the 2020 Searchlight Pictures comedy film Downhill, and Terry McTeer in the 2023 Hulu comedy film Quiz Lady (in which he also served as producer). He also produced both the 2020 Freeform supernatural drama series Motherland: Fort Salem, as well as the 2022 Searchlight Pictures film The Menu.
