Find Out Why is a series of educational shorts featuring Timon and Pumbaa from Disney's The Lion King. Produced by Walt Disney Television Animation and sponsored by the National Science Foundation, the series was broadcast in 2000 as part of ABC’s Disney's One Saturday Morning programming block. Each short focuses on answering a science-related question posed by children, covering topics such as lightning, sneezing, wind, animal habitats, and flight. A total of nine shorts were produced, five of which were later included as bonus features on Disc 2 of the 2004 Special Edition DVD release of The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride.

Summary[]

The series consisted of nine one-minute shorts on Disney's One Saturday Morning which ran in 2000, where Timon and Pumbaa answer kids' questions about science. These are fun to check out for educational purposes at schools, non-residential and residential uses for people, including students and kids everywhere in the world. The series is generally presented in live-action and cutout animation, mixed with traditional animation of Timon and Pumbaa.

Trivia[]

The Magic Carpet from the Aladdin franchise makes a cameo appearance in the first short film, "Why is There Thunder and Lightning?".
Pixie Dust from Peter Pan makes a cameo appearance in the fifth short film, "Why Does an Airplane Fly?".
