Gameplay[]
Basically, players help Dory remember what the thing is by answering questions by tapping the icons to answer. To answer, the player must listen carefully to what Dory is saying and tap the icon related to what she says to answer her question. Afterwards, the player assumes the role of Dory to explore her way across the ocean by collecting bubbles along the way while avoiding certain types of obstacles and hitting an obstacle or if Dory remains idle too long causes the player to lose some bubbles as the screen scrolls throughout gameplay. At the end of each level, Dory tells the story to Marlin about finding clues to help find her missing parents Charlie and Jenny. In certain levels, the player must help Dory find certain characters to complete levels. Whenever the player completes each level, the number stars earned depends on how many bubbles Dory collected throughout the game.
Basically, each cutscene played throughout the game after each level recaps the events of Finding Dory where Dory talks to Marlin about her adventures.
