"First Day" is an instrumental score cue from the 2003 Disney/Pixar animated film, Finding Nemo. It is one of the film's memorable scores heard throughout it in Disney/Pixar history.
Due to the success of Finding Nemo, the score cue was later used in Finding Nemo-inspired merchandise.
Background
It is heard during the scene where Marlin and his son Nemo leave their anemone home just as Marlin takes him to school. On their way to school, Nemo talks with Marlin about what he would find out when at school, he would meet a shark while Nemo tells him about how old sea turtles to which Marlin doesn't know so Nemo tells him that "Sandy Plankton says that sea turtles live to be about 100 years old". The score pauses a bit when the clownfish father and son duo come across fish traffic, followed by the two arriving at the spot where Mr. Ray would be at. The score then ends when Marlin and Nemo encounter Bill, Bob, and Ted, the fathers of Tad, Sheldon, and Pearl.
