Flash Gordon is an upcoming American action science-fiction film, based on the King Features comic strip of the same name created by Alex Raymond. It also serves as a reboot of the 1980 film of the same name.

On June 24, 2019, after multiple attempts, it was reported that Taika Waititi had signed on as the director of the Flash Gordon reboot.^[1]

Initially believed to be an animated film, producers John Davis and John Fox reiterated that the film will be in live-action.^[2]
