Flo is a character featured in the 2020 Disney+ original film Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made.
Background[]
Flo serves as the librarian of the Portland Public Library. She is shown to be rather strict when it comes to noises occurring inside the library as a common policy for libraries. Despite this, she is even social in talking to others whom she meets; however, when it comes to someone asking a simple subject, she would tell the person to be more specific (such as when Timmy Failure is looking for Corrina Corrina). In spite of this, she is also capable of organizing events for the Carverette Elementary School such as the Animal Awareness rally where participants contribute to help bring a big impact to the school. During her duty as a librarian, she also wears a tag that reminds visitors that they cannot rent books from the library without having a card present.
Role in the film[]
Flo is first seen telling the people inside the library that she will silence the person making disruption inside. When Timmy approaches her, he tries to tell Flo about the "Russians", only for her to suggest books related to Russian travels, cooking, or authors, which Timmy tells her that he is looking for Russian operatives. Flo asks Timmy if he wants a Russian spy novel, which he replies to her that he wants information on actual spies living locally. Flo denies, telling her to go outside and play, only for Molly to interrupt where she tells the librarian that she is finished with the flyers. Flo later tells Timmy that she doesn't know any Russian operatives, which Molly overhears and tells Timmy that Corrina Corrina is of Russian descent. Flo later tells Timmy of why he didn't want to talk to Corrina in the first place, which Timmy tells her to not be absurd. Timmy tells Flo that he will circle back just before he leaves.
During class, Flo tells the students planning for an Animal Awareness rally to raise awareness for the school's observance. She convinces Timmy to participate in a group where he tells her about an anti-bear policy, as well as telling him to speak up so that he could bring a positive impact on the world, which Timmy suddenly agrees just before the students resume to work for two weeks.
Furthermore, Flo hosts the Animal Awareness rally at Cathedral Park as she introduces Molly to give out her presentation. After Molly's presentation, Timmy decides to give his own presentation during the rally, which impresses Flo and all the other attendees.
Trivia[]
- The tag that Flo wears which reads "No card, no book" is a reference to a common library policy for people who need to use their library cards in order to check out books from the library - although Flo is not seen reminding people to follow what her tag says.
