- The wagon that Carl pulls Dug in is just like Bing Bong's Rocket Wagon in Inside Out, but without the broom boosters and cardboard wings.
- Carl's backwards dialogue in Dug's dream translates to: "Don't you roll in that, you just had a bath".
- During Dug's nightmare, the music used in the background was actually a classical piece.
- The ferris wheel seen at the episode's beginning is the same one featured in Toy Story 4.
