Mickey and the gang celebrate the 100th birthday of Hot Dog Hills.
Synopsis[]
The episode begins at the Happy Helpers building, where Cuckoo-Loca tells Daisy that the headsets she is using to communicate with are broken. Minnie receives a call from Clarabelle asking for help restoring her ancestor's cabin for Founders Day. Minnie suggests putting on a play detailing the story of how Clarabelle's ancestor founded Hot Dog Hills to get the residents to work together to fix up the cabin. Clarabelle is initially nervous about having to perform in front of everyone in Hot Dog Hills, but Minnie reassures Clarabelle that they will help.
The Happy Helpers arrive just outside the cabin, and Minnie tells Clarabelle she got Goofy, Mickey, Donald, and Pluto to help with the play. Clarabelle proceeds to explain Hot Dog Hills' origin story: 100 years ago, Clarabelle's ancestor Colonel Kielbasa shared her hot dogs with everyone she met, until a wolf made off with her very last hot dog. Kielbasa would chase down the wolf until she discovered hills that looked just like hot dogs and proceeds to set up a cabin near the hills, thus founding Hot Dog Hills. Clarabelle gets cast as Colonel Kielbasa in the play. Pluto is cast as the wolf who stole Kielbasa' hot dog while Mickey, Donald, and Goofy are cast as villagers, as well as being tasked with setting up the stage. Minnie assigns herself the director role while Daisy and Cuckoo-Loca are tasked with the sound effects.
Rehearsal is now underway, and a nervous Clarabelle accidentally mixes up her lines as she speaks. Minnie has Clarabelle read from the script as rehearsal before stopping, but she mixes up the words again. Minnie changes tactics and tells Clarabelle to imagine that she is really her ancestor, and she speaks her lines perfectly. Night comes, but before the play begins, Clarabelle spots her Aunt Gurnseybelle, who is an actress and seems to be very judgmental. Clarabelle gets nervous again and starts mixing up her words, but Minnie places one of the headsets on Clarabelle to guide her. Daisy tries to explain that the headsets are broken, but Minnie assures her that everything will be fine. Clarabelle performs her lines perfectly and the play is a success. Come next morning, the cabin is restored to its former beauty and Aunt Gunseybelle congratulates Clarabelle for her acting as the episode ends.
