An unnamed fourth Disneyland Hotel was a proposed hotel at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. It was going to be the fourth hotel at the Disneyland Resort but ended up getting cancelled.
History[]
On August 15, 2018, it was announced that the documents filed with the City of Anaheim that a fourth Disneyland Hotel would be built, which was supposed to be built from the west of Downtown Disney as well as the Disneyland Hotel Valet and Simba parking lots, which would have covered 31 acres of land. It was going to have eight stories spread across four distant wings, as well as an 82,000 square feet of retail, dining, and entertainment. Guests would have accessed the Downtown Disney monorail through the lobby and ground level via Downtown Disney with many of the locations remaining open on the west side of the area such as the LEGO Store. Other anecdotes from the document included a pedestrian bridge connecting to the lobby as well as the monorail platform where the lobby would have been placed on the third floor, considered the "main floor" of the hotel, followed by the concierge lounge supposed to be located on Wing 2 on the seventh floor.[1]
On October 10, 2018, Disney announced that they would not be constructing a fourth hotel at the Disneyland Resort at this time. The hotel was supposed to be constructed where a number of businesses were closed at the Downtown Disney District located near the existing Disneyland Hotel. Disneyland Resort spokesman, Liz Jaeger, made a statement regarding about the fourth Disneyland Hotel stating about the project's cancellation.[2]
