Foxtel Movies Disney is a pay television film channel in Australia which began broadcasting on April 10th 2014 owned by Foxtel and Disney.
On February 21st 2013, Foxtel announced they had finalised agreements with The Walt Disney Company and MGM, resulting in Foxtel having agreements with all the major studios and distributors.
In February 2014 it was announced Foxtel would launch an additional family movie channel, Foxtel Movies Disney, on April 10th 2014, this influx of programming was attributed to the end of the film studio output agreement between Walt Disney Pictures and the Seven Network in early 2014, allowing for more Disney programming opportunities for Foxtel Movies Disney.
