- “Au revoir, Buster. It has been, as you say, beautiful.”
- ―Francois
Francois is a minor character in Disney's 2001 direct-to-video film Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure, the sequel to the 1955 animated feature film Lady and the Tramp. He is one of the members of the junkyard dogs.
Background[]
Physical appearance[]
Francois is the smallest of the junkyard dogs. His appearance is more of a Boston Terrier, but he speaks with a French accent, hence his name.
Personality[]
Francois is rambunctious and often gets into mischief, such as getting electrically shocked. He also likes ripping apart chicken skin and doesn't like being perfumed. He has a bit of a snobbish attitude but isn't above congratulating Scamp on his heroic actions with unusual kisses on his cheeks. When he accidentally managed to get Scamp captured by the Dogcatcher and taken to the pound, due to Buster using his own member as bait, Francois felt guilty and remorseful for unintentionally leading Scamp into trouble. He eventually leaves the junkyard with the other junkyard dogs, minus Buster, and gets adopted by a family.
Trivia[]
- His name is equivalent to Francis from the 1988 film Oliver & Company.
- Despite having a French name and accent, he resembles more of a Boston Terrier than a French Bulldog.
