"Frankenflower" is the second segment of the twenty-fourth episode of Vampirina. It premiered on October 1, 2018 alongside "Hauntleyween".
Plot[]
Vampirina doesn't know what to make for tomorrow's inventor fair. Poppy states that the inventions can be anything as long as they're helpful and creative. Vampirina has never invented anything before and gets the batties. Bridget is making a special pillow that squeezes you back when you're scared, and she plans to use it a lot. Poppy is making the Edgarator 2000, which makes Edgar disappear when she wants to be alone. Demi is surprised about it. Gregoria has an idea for a Transylvanian invention; when she was young, she was a gargoyle at the castle of a famous Transylvania inventor named Frank L. Stein. He wrote all of his inventions on the book he left Gregoria.
While Poppy and Bridget go home to work on their respective projects, Vampirina flips through the pages and wonders what invention she should pick when Demi sings about the different possibilities for the perfect invention, including the flower reanimator, which brings dead flowers back to life. Vampirina sees it and decides to invent it, although Stein never got it to work properly. Vampirina needs a special Transylvanian plant fruit potion, although she shouldn't use monster magic in a school project. However, since magic is creative and people love flowers, Vampirina decides to do it.
She and Demi then follow the directions to invent the flower reanimator. After the first attempt doesn't work, Boris tells Vampirina that part of inventing things is trying again, and Oxana is supportive of it. Everyone then goes to bed. The next day at school, it is time for the fair. Bridget shows her Scare Buddy, Poppy shows her Edgarator 2000, Edgar shows his lizard-powered night light, and Vampirina shows her box that's supposed to bring dead flowers back to life, although it doesn't work yet.
To make it work, Vampirina decides to give the flower sunlight. Poppy thinks Vampirina will win when she notices the flower singing. Vampirina then quickly moves the flower to shade to make it stop singing. However, it still sings, and the class starts to notice when Vampirina, Poppy, and Bridget sing about inventing being fun. Edna likes it, unlike Oxana and Boris. Edgar tells Mr. Gore about his invention. Oxana and Boris then notice the singing flower and the former tells Demi that Vampirina needs help. Just then, Edgar's lizard runs and causes mischief before landing on Mr. Gore, who places the lizard in its wheel.
Vampirina then quickly waters the flower and Demi replaces it with a dead flower before she demonstrates the flower to Mr. Gore, stating that bringing dead flowers back to life and making them sing is impossible. Mr. Gore gives Vampirina points for creativity and thinking big. In third place for her automatic pancake flipper is Lena, in second place for his lizard-powered night light is Edgar, and the first place goes to Bridget for her Scare Buddy. Vampirina gets a very special award for being the most creative and thinking big. Mr. Gore recaps inventors needing to keep trying and thinking big.
Later, while the flower is singing, Boris and Oxana are proud of Vampirina for bringing the flower back to life and finding sunlight as the missing ingredient. Oxana then decides to place the flower on the kitchen sink to keep Penelope company. Demi places headphones on Penelope, and the Hauntleys then dance to the music.
