"Friar Tum" is the first segment of the fiftieth episode in the Adventures of the Gummi Bears series. It premiered on September 12, 1990, and was later paired with the season five leftover episode "Never Give a Gummi an Even Break", becoming the first segment of the second episode in the sixth and final season.
Plot[]
Lured by the aroma of their daily baking, Tummi ends up in the company of Abbot Costello and his fellow (human) monks, is forced to protect the faithful friars from the thieving Trolls, and finally learns to say no for his own good.

Trivia[]
- Cubbi Gummi does not appear, but is mentioned by Zummi at the end of the episode.
- This is the first episode in which Jim Cummings replaces Paul Winchell as the voice of Zummi Gummi.
- This episode marks the fourth and final appearance of the Trolls on the show.
- The names for three monks appearing in the episode, are puns on real world musicians and comedians: Brother Everly (The Everly Brothers), Prior Richard (Richard Prior), and Abbot Costello (Abbot and Costello).
- Further, the abbey featured is called "Abbey Thelonious", and "the Home of the Thelonious Monks", a pun on jazz musician Thelonious Monk.
- In addition, Troll Clutch calls Troll Tuck "Friar Tuck", a reference to Robin Hood.
- Animation production for the sixth and final season was distributed among several different studios. Responsible for this episode is Guimaraes Productions in São Paulo; this being the only episode of the show that the Brazilian studio animated.
- This is originally the twenty-sixth episode to premiere separately from its sibling segment, which had aired the following season, a little over eight months earlier. Both segments were later combined for all subsequent airings; though the episode order was flipped. Internationally, the sixth season follows a slightly different order (likely following the intended production order more closely).
