Gabriella, better known as Gabbie, is a major character in Disney's 2023 film, Haunted Mansion, based on the ride of the same name. She is a single mother who lives with her son Travis who moved to a mansion only to find out that it is haunted.

Background

Originally a doctor living in New York, Gabbie is a single mother who, along with her son Travis, moves to the city of New Orleans after the death of her husband. They purchase a mansion in the bayou in hopes to turn it to a hotel.

She shows passion and integrity through good intentions to her son who is having trouble making friends at school. When she moved into a mansion with her son, they found out that it is haunted, leading her to hire Ben Matthias, followed by Harriet, Father Kent, and Bruce who help them along the way.

Physical Appearance

Gabbie is a middle-aged woman with brown eyes, olive skin and black hair. She is mostly seen wearing different colored dresses with matching high heels. She sometimes wear ascots and a necklace with her outfits.

Her night attire consists of a pink and white plaid bathrobe, a pale pink pajamas, and slippers.

Role in the film

Gabbie first appears arriving at the Gracey Mansion after moving out of New York with her son, Travis. Gabbie calls the moving company, only to hear that her moving van is still traveling on the road. As Gabbie and Travis start settling into the mansion, Travis encounters a ghost and tries to tell Gabbie, but she does not believe him until she encounters the Haunted Armor when it appears behind her son. Gabbie and Travis flee in terror, only to discover several of ghosts from the mansion had follow them. Gabbie and Travis tried to get as far as possible from the ghosts, but no matter where they went, the ghosts kept following them and eventually forced Gabbie and her son to return to the mansion.

Trivia

• It is never stated how Gabbie's husband died in the film.
• Gabbie and Travis's surnames are never mentioned in the film.
• Gabbie's idea of turning the mansion into a bed and breakfast is where people would stay overnight and have breakfast in the morning with the hosts living in the house.
