"Galactech: Secrets of the Black Hole" is the thirtieth episode of the Disney Junior animated series Miles from Tomorrowland. It is the final episode of the first season, and premiered on the Disney Jr. app on March 11, 2016 before making its television debut on March 18, 2016.

Plot[]

In different parts of the universe, the Builders rocks all head towards one location. Back in the Stellosphere, Miles, Loretta, and M.E.R.C. are making breakfast for Leo and Phoebe. Miles adds in milk and propulsion powder in the mix, and M.E.R.C. stirs. After being told by Loretta, Stella makes five cups of Comet Cocoa with extra meteor marshmallows, just the way Loretta likes it. Stella tells her that she is programmed to be nothing less.

The breakfast is ready, and it is floating pancakes. However, they rocket out of the kitchen, and Loretta and Miles assume that Miles put in too much propulsion powder. Miles, Loretta, and M.E.R.C. chase the pancakes to Leo and Phoebe's room, Miles tells them that he and Loretta wanted to surprise them, and Leo says that it worked.

While the family is having breakfast, Leo tells Miles that the trick is to put just enough propulsion powder so the pancakes float, but not so much that they rocket. Miles tells M.E.R.C. to help him remember that. Phoebe appreciates Miles and Loretta making breakfast, and they say that since Leo and Phoebe do stuff for them, Miles and Loretta thought it would be nice to do something for Leo and Phoebe. Just as the family relaxes, the ship rumbles. Stella informs the Callistos that they have avoided a collision with an unidentified rock formation, and two more are approaching. Phoebe tells Stella to continue evasive maneuvers and the Callistos to head to the bridge. M.E.R.C. eats one more pancake before following.

Once the Callistos are at the bridge, Miles is surprised because he has never seen rocks that big before, and Loretta has not seen them move in the same direction. Loretta also finds out that those are alien rocks from the Builders, which are just like the ones the Callistos have been collecting. Miles has seen the symbol which says "be careful" a lot. The Stellosphere then follows where the rocks are going, and they smash into each other to create a black hole. This confuses the Callistos, and Loretta finds out that that is not how black holes form, while wondering why the Builders would do that. Leo also mentions that black holes pull in everything around them, and that one is right next to Earth. Phoebe states that the Tomorrowland Transit Authority will definitely want to do something about this.

In the Trident Research Station, a Dethalian guard tells Admirals Watson and Crick where the black hole came from, and the Admirals do not know, with Crick scared about how the black hole formed. So, the Admirals are consulting with Tomorrowland's pre-eminent astrophysicist, Professor Rubicon. Rubicon tells what black holes are capable of, and also mentions that the black hole recently formed is drifting right towards Earth. Crick is scared of that. Rubicon also mentions that unless the black hole can be stopped, it will destroy Earth, and they need to know all they can about it. So, the Admirals have asked the Callistos to launch a probe, which will gather as much information as possible, and the Callistos will report back with their findings. A robot then takes a picture of the Callistos and M.E.R.C.

The Stellosphere then stops at a close enough distance to the black hole. Miles is about to launch the probe when M.E.R.C. does so himself. The probe is uploading all of the information to the Stellosphere, but is quickly losing power, as if the black hole is draining it. Leo finds out that the Stellosphere is losing power, as well. He activates the reverse thrusters, but the black hole sucks in the probe, and is starting to do the same to the Stellosphere. This shocks Rubicon and the Admirals.

Stella informs the Callistos that the Stellosphere is caught in the black hole's gravitational pull, and Leo finds out that the engines are offline. Stella orders the Callistos to use the Star Jetter to evacuate. Even though they may not like it, this is their only option. Loretta decides to save the probe's information, and M.E.R.C. brings his Booster Bites with him. The Callistos then take the Star Jetter, and Leo finds out that its power is being drained by the black hole. However, the Star Jetter escapes just as the Stellosphere is sucked in the black hole. Miles, Loretta, and M.E.R.C. are sad about it, as it was their home. Phoebe tells them that they are safe and together, and that's what's most important. M.E.R.C. then hugs Miles and Loretta.

Back in the Trident Research Station, Professor Rubicon and the Admirals are speechless. The Admirals tell Rubicon what's next. Rubicon decides to look at the information the probe gathered, but it will take some time. As for the Callistos, Watson and Crick decide to give them a new mission for now, this time on a quiet planet.

The Callistos then land on Planet Daedalus, and Miles and Loretta question if the dome they see is where the Callistos will live. Phoebe tells them that the TTA assigned them this mission until another starship is built for them, and tells everyone to be patient. Phoebe also tells the Callistos that there's not much they can do without the Stellosphere, but Rubicon is going through the data they collected, and they will come up with a plan. Leo has a job for the Callistos, which is to get to the bottom of some Marsberry smoothies, which the Callistos agree.

Later, Leo sets up a climate station, and is praised by Phoebe. Miles, Loretta, and M.E.R.C. have also collected data samples from twelve different elevations, and Loretta plans to catalog the samples into the TTA database as soon as the Callistos get back to the Stellosphere, but quickly changes it to outpost. Miles still can't believe the Stellosphere is gone. Loretta tells him that the Earth will be too, unless the black hole is stopped. Phoebe tells them that Rubicon is trying to figure that out as the Callistos speak.

Eventually, in the Trident Research Station, a robot tells Rubicon that they have finished reviewing the information from the Callistos' probe. Rubicon decides to get a closer look at the black hole, and he sees something that amazes him. Back on Daedalus, Miles misses the Stellosphere and Stella, but Loretta tells him that Rubicon found something.

Rubicon tells the Callistos if they remember about the Builders rocks that came from all over the galaxy to create what we thought was a black hole. This is because the rocks really created a portal. Loretta mentions that the portal is a doorway to the Builders' galaxy, and if they go through there, they can meet the Builders. Miles assumes that they can tell the Callistos how to protect the Earth, and the Callistos will get the Stellosphere back. Rubicon tells them that they must confirm that the portal is safe before going through it. Leo has an idea.

Once the Star Jetter is at a safe distance, Leo decides to send a signal through the portal, and ask the Stellosphere to send a signal back to them. If the Callistos get a signal back, they'll know the Stellosphere made it through the portal safely. The plan works, and the Callistos are delighted. Phoebe then informs the Admirals and Rubicon that the mission is a go. Rubicon tells them to come back with good news about shutting down the portal, and the Admirals tell them to be very careful. The Callistos then activate their spacesuit's helmets before going in the portal.

Once there, Leo navigates the Star Jetter through lots of asteroids, but finds out that the ship's fuel cells are draining quickly. They eventually make it out of the portal, and Miles wonders if the planet the Callistos see up ahead are the Builders' planet. Phoebe tries to contact the Builders to no avail. Meanwhile, Leo finds out that the Star Jetter is banged up, and its fuel cells are almost drained of power. He assumes that the ship won't survive another trip through that portal. Miles says that it doesn't have to as soon as the Callistos find the Stellosphere. Leo assumes it drifted around the other side of the planet. The Callistos then find the ship, which is an absolute wreck. Miles assumes that they can fix it, and Leo says that they'll know more once they go aboard.

The ship has its gravity and lights off. Miles brings the Callistos to Stella and question if she is okay, and Stella responds, stating that she has not seen them in a long time. Stella also reports that many of the ship's functions are damaged, However, after being acknowledged by Leo, Stella is able to re-route power to the gravity generator. The Callistos then head to the bridge.

Once there, Phoebe tells Stella to send a little power to their stations, and Stella does so. Leo finds out that one engine is totally blown, Phoebe finds out that life support is offline, Loretta counts four holes in the ship, and Miles finds out that fuel cells are almost empty. Even though Leo is one ace starship repairman, charging the fuel cells will be a challenge, and hopes the Builders can help.

Loretta wonders why the Builders haven't contacted them when the Callistos come across a star. Loretta sees a lot of coronal mass ejections, meaning that star's surface is erupting. Phoebe checks some sensor readings, and finds out that the star is in the final stages of going supernova. Loretta finds out that the explosion would destroy every planet around here. This is the reason why the Builders haven't contacted the Callistos, as they left. Stella sees that the star will go supernova when the circle is complete, in ninety-three minutes. Miles assumes that the Builders left something behind that can help the Callistos, and Phoebe says that that's the Callistos' only chance of leaving.

The Callistos then take the Star Jetter to a city in the planet. Phoebe says that it looks deserted, and Miles has never been in an empty city before. Loretta then sees some alien symbols. They say, "Build. Reach. Connect." Loretta says that the planet is where the Builders are from, but the Callistos are too late. Miles then activates a power switch, which not only turns on the power, but also causes the platform the Callistos are on to lower. As M.E.R.C. prepares to take Miles and Loretta away, the Callistos see a different city. Loretta mentions that the city up top was just for show, and that the real city is underground. Miles says that this is where the Builders used to live.

M.E.R.C. then finds what looks like a communications array, which powers on. Phoebe says that someone is trying to contact them, and Loretta is delighted to find out that it is a Builder. The Builder introduces herself to the Callistos as Oumou, and she is transmitting a hologram of herself on a distant home. Loretta tells her that the Callistos studies the Builders' symbols, solved her puzzle, and now they're here. When questioned by Leo, Oumou mentioned that the portal showed up in the solar system because of Loretta solving the Builders' puzzle. She also made it look like a black hole to keep everyone out, except for those who knew what it really was, like Loretta.

Oumou also mentions that the Builders left the planet because it became too dangerous. Due to the star about to go supernova, the Builders broke apart the portal and scattered the pieces, hoping that no one would come here now. The Callistos surprised Oumou by showing up, and she tells them that they must leave. Leo is not sure how, as the Stellosphere needs a serious jump start. Oumou tells the Callistos that the answer lies in what the Builders call the Galactech Globe, which will give the Callistos the power they need. It is found in the tallest tower in the city. Once it is placed in the Stellosphere's fuel cell, it will get the Callistos back home, close the portal, and make Earth safe again. Miles and M.E.R.C. decide to go up there, and they leave the underground city.

Phoebe thanks Oumou for everything. Before leaving, Oumou tells Loretta that they will meet again. Miles and M.E.R.C. then retrieve the Galactech Globe from the tallest tower, and head back into the Star Jetter with it.

Once the Callistos are back in the Stellosphere, they are told by Stella that the supernova will occur in four minutes. Miles and M.E.R.C. need to head to the engine room and drop the Galactech Globe in the energy port. With one minute remaining until the supernova, Miles plugs the globe in the energy port, causing the Stellosphere to receive a new look, the Callistos to have new spacesuit looks, and M.E.R.C. to have a new look. Not only that, the damaged engine is working, life support has been restored, and the holes are gone. With ten seconds remaining until the supernova. Phoebe tells the Callistos that they're out of here. The Stellosphere leaves just as the star goes supernova. It goes through the portal, and once back in the solar system, the black hole disappears, and the portal gets destroyed with the pieces scattering everywhere again. This excites Rubicon and Admirals Watson and Crick. Stella tells the Callistos that they're back in their home solar system. Since the portal is gone, this means Earth is safe.

In the kitchen, the Callistos eat floating pancakes, with just enough propulsion powder this time. Stella is also reviewing all of the Galactech Globe's upgrades to the Stellosphere, stating that the new Galactech mode will make the ship faster and stronger. She has also discovered various different starmaps to unexplored areas of space. Phoebe assumes that the Admirals would like to discuss that very topic with the Callistos, but not until the Callistos are done with the pancakes.

Once the Callistos are on the bridge, Admiral Watson tells them that making connections has always been the main goal of the TTA. Loretta says the same thing was with the Builders before the Callistos. Watson states that the Callistos get to walk in their footsteps. Crick states that thanks to the Galactech Globe, the Stellosphere is the fastest starship in the galaxy. The Callistos are then given a new assignment in addition to continuing their work for the TTA: "Build. Reach. Connect.". This means for the Callistos to use the Stellosphere to make new friends in unexplored areas of the universe. Crick is getting emotional about it, mainly because Watson means it that makes it so sweet. M.E.R.C. then cries, and the Admirals sign off while crying.

Phoebe tells everyone to head to their stations, as the cosmos is calling. Phoebe tells Stella to activate Galactech, and Stella agrees. The Stellosphere gets its new look, the Callistos get their new spacesuits' design, and M.E.R.C. gets a new look. The Callistos say, "Let's rocket!" before blasting off into the unknown areas.
