Personality[]
As a workplace superior, Gale takes her duties at City Hall very seriously and expects a lot from the elements that work for her, especially Wade. She does not like to hear excuses and sob stories for safety and health violations. An avid Airball fan, Gale can become frustrated when her favorite team, the Windbreakers, underperform. On a rare chance, Gale can be very lenient and helpful, especially toward Wade and Ember, whom she's views as a cute couple.
Physical appearance[]
Gale is a tall woman with a very upbeat appearance. Being an air element, her entire body is made out of pink clouds, complete with purple eyebrows, a long tuft that resemble hair on her head, purple eyes with light pink sclera, long thick eyelashes, a long nose, and dons powder-blue eyeshadow.
Gale is constantly seen wearing a sleeveless, blue and green sports shirt of the wind breakers, which also features yellow trim. At times, she wore a rainbow-colored bomber jacket, to which she sometimes wore over her sport shirt. She is also briefly seen wearing a sleeveless yellow shirt.
Role in the film[]
Gale first appears when Wade and Ember visit the Cyclone Stadium in Element City's air district. Ember attempts to reason with Gale about forgiving the Fireplace's safety violations, but Gale dismisses her, preoccupied with watching the Airball game featuring her favorite team, the Windbreakers. Gale and Ember angrily get into each other's faces, though Wade is able to diffuse the confrontation by cheering the Windbreakers to victory. Happy that her favorite Airball team won the game, Gale becomes more lenient and gives the duo a short deadline to find the leak source in the city canals.
Later on, Ember seals a hole in a dam (the source of the leak) with tempered glass, which Gale approves. When Wade wanted to show Ember the Vivisteria Flowers in the flooded Garden Central Station, Gale used her air to create a bubble for her, allowing her safe passage underwater for a short time. In the film, Gale is last seen shopping at The Fireplace, impressed with the store and commenting about how she almost had it shut down. She runs into her employee Fern Grouchwood and flirts with him upon learning that he is a Windbreakers fan.
In the credits, it is shown that Gale and Fern did a love reading with Cinder Lumen, Ember's mom, and when she declared them a match, they kissed each other, only to stop when Cinder sprays water on them.

- Her surname is not credited in the feature film, but is mentioned in My Busy Books.
- Unlike Ember whose temper can cause combustion, Gale's temper is revolved around creating thunder and lightning storms.
