"Gamechangers" is the first segment of the fiftieth episode of Miles from Tomorrowland. It premiered on April 15, 2017 alongside "Goon Baby Goon", and is the first segment of the twentieth episode in the second season.

Synopsis[]

Miles and Loretta learn how to create their own holo-game.

Plot[]

The episode begins in the activity room, where Miles and Loretta are going through their holo-game with M.E.R.C. cheering on. With ten more holo-rings left, Miles goes down while Loretta goes up. Miles and Loretta complete the Galaxias level in 22 seconds, a new record. Miles and Loretta agree that they like Galaxias, but Miles suggests that it would be even better if there were more things to climb, like trees, as well as a creature to guard the rings. All Miles knows how to do is to play games. Loretta suggests to make their own game by visiting The GameMaster. Miles says that The GameMaster did say to visit her if they ever need anything. Miles tells Loretta and M.E.R.C. if they want to help him make a game with him, to which they agree.

In the bridge, Leo is piloting the Stellosphere to Venus, the hottest planet in the solar system. Phoebe says that it is to check some atmospheric measurements. Miles and Loretta appear and tell Phoebe and Leo if it's okay to see The GameMaster to make their own game. Leo and Phoebe like the idea, and they can't wait to see what their game looks like.

While Miles is looking for the go-back button in his room, Loretta suggests that she will come in here and help Miles organize his stuff. M.E.R.C. then finds the button, and Miles activates it. Miles, Loretta, and M.E.R.C. then go through the portal to go to The GameMaster's workshop. Once there, Miles and Loretta tell The GameMaster that they wanted to make their own holo-game. The GameMaster says that making games is even more fun than playing games, and then goes through the important stuff for making games.

She then shows the toolbox, which has everything need to make a game, including obstacles, props, and backgrounds. You just put the things you want, put them together however you like, and the game is ready. Miles and Loretta can't wait to start, and Miles has so many ideas. The GameMaster warns Miles and Loretta to always put an emergency shut-off switch into their game, as they never know when a game might stop working the way it's supposed to. The GameMaster then gives Miles and Loretta a game module to plug into the Stellosphere in order to get their own toolbox, letting everyone play their game. Miles, Loretta, and M.E.R.C. then leave the workshop.

Loretta then plugs the game module into the Stellosphere. Since it needs a lot of power, Stella redirects some from her supply. Miles decides for the game to take place in the jungle, where there would be tons of stuff to climb. As for obstacles, Loretta suggests some floating rocks, which Miles makes. Miles says that the game needs a goal, like a treasure chest full of staridium. Loretta likes the idea, and programs it so that when a player finds the treasure, they win and the game ends. Miles then creates a creature to guard the treasure. Miles then gives it a Graawk head, a robot body, and Groundshaker legs. Once the creature is installed, Miles calls it the Floogelhoff. Miles then tasks the Floogelhoff to guard the treasure. To deactivate a Floogelhoff, their necks need to be tickled. Loretta likes it, but she feels like something is missing. Regardless, Miles decides to start.

Loretta then activates the game. Everything is going as expected until the Floogelhoff heads out the door, causing the game to go all over the Stellosphere. Loretta realizes that they forgot to put in an emergency shut-off switch. Loretta tries to crack the code, but instead makes more Floogelhoffs. Loretta presses the "pause" button, however, one of the Floogelhoffs deactivates the game module, and the remaining Floogelhoffs leave the activity room. With the game module broken, the only way to stop the game is to find the staridium treasure chest.

Just as Leo and Phoebe decide to stop the Stellosphere, they hear a Floogelhoff and notice the Stellosphere's new design. Miles and Loretta explain everything to Leo and Phoebe, and apologize for not putting an emergency shut-off switch into their game, like the GameMaster told them. Worst of all, the game is overpowering Stella's system, and all piloting controls are malfunctioning. The ship is now heading towards Venus, and Leo can't steer it away. Miles tells Phoebe that the only way the game can be deactivated is if someone finds the treasure chest full of staridium and stop the Floogelhoffs, which Leo thinks is creative. There are four but only one has the treasure. The Callistos then split up to find the Floogelhoffs.

Loretta then finds a Floogelhoff in a stairway and deactivates it. In the hangar, Phoebe and Leo compliment the Stellosphere's look, with Leo calling it very tropical, when a Floogelhoff appears. Phoebe then deactivates it.

With the Stellosphere approaching closer to Venus, Miles and M.E.R.C. see a Floogelhoff in the kitchen. M.E.R.C. decides to hide, and deactivates the Floogelhoff. Miles then informs his parents what happened. With two minutes until the Callistos are too close to Venus, Leo is told to get to the bridge so he's ready to steer as soon as the Callistos find the only Floogelhoff remaining, the one with the treasure. Just then, the Floogelhoff goes past Miles, and Miles tells the Callistos that it's heading towards the activity room.

As Leo begins to steer, Miles and M.E.R.C. meet the Floogelhoff in the activity room while Phoebe and Loretta meet them there. Eventually, Miles is able to tickle the Floogelhoff's neck, deactivating it and retrieving the treasure, deactivating the game just in time, allowing Stella to regain control of the Stellosphere. Leo then steers the ship away from Venus. Miles and Loretta apologize for forgetting what the GameMaster said about putting an emergency shut-off switch. Leo and Phoebe like the idea, and hope that they play Miles and Loretta's game, instead of the game playing them. With that said, Loretta has an idea for a new game, and when it's ready, Miles wants to invite someone special to play it with the Callistos.

The Callistos and The GameMaster are going Floogelhoff racing. The race then begins, and everyone enjoys it. The episode ends with Miles and Loretta being told by The GameMaster that they made an excellent game, and them telling her that they will make more games.
