"Garden of the Gods" was a proposed concept originally going to be built at the Fantasyland area at Disneyland. It was originally going to be built on the site of what was once Motor Boat Cruise, but the attraction ended up getting cancelled. The concept art was dated 1960.
History[]
One of the many unused concepts proposed for Disneyland was a boat ride themed after mythology centering around various deities and mythical creatures from mythology designed by the late Marc Davis. Throughout the attraction, guests would have ridden on vehicles shaped into golden horse chariots resembling Pegasus from Greek mythology and would have brought them on a journey across the mythical world - specifically themed after Greek mythology. Amongst the figures and creatures from mythology they would have included Cerberus, Hades, Medusa, and Chernabog from Fantasia. The attraction would have featured vistas representing mythology and water features throughout it, giving guests an imagination of what the mythological world would look like. However, for unknown reasons, this attraction was shelved and became the site of the former Motor Boat Cruise area.

Trivia[]
- Disney would later use versions of Cerberus and Hades from the 1997 animated feature film Hercules, which are completely different characters and unrelated to those from the scrapped Garden of the Gods attraction. Additionally, Medusa would later appear in the Hercules TV series.
- Despite the attraction having a Greek mythology theme, one of the gods who were supposed to be featured in the attraction was Chernabog from Fantasia, who originated from Slavic mythology. Chernabog would have been the only character featured in this attraction who did not originate from Greek mythology.
