Genosha is an island nation that appears in the Marvel Comics and a prominent location in the X-Men comics. Located off the east coast of Africa, the island once served as an allegory for Mutant slavery before becoming a sanctuary and homeland for Mutantkind. The capital on Genosha is Hammer Bay.

Appearances[]

X-Men (film series)[]

Genosha appeared in the first X-Men film as an uncharted island where Magneto established a base for himself and the Brotherhood. The island would appear again in Dark Phoenix as a mutant refuge run by Magneto.
