Georgina Winthorp is a character from the 2020 Disney+ original film Black Beauty.
Background[]
Georgina is one of the three migrants from England who visited Jo Green in Birtwick Stables. She serves the daughter of Mrs. Winthorp with George being his sister. Although she has a like on horses, she would put pressure on a horse she attempts to ride such as Black Beauty albeit in a cruel manner, unaware of the pressure and stress she is providing to Beauty.
Role in the film[]
Georgina meets John Manly who introduces her family to Black Beauty at Birtwick Stables. Upon staring at Beauty, Mrs. Winthorp tells her daughter that she wanted a thoroughbred rather than a mustang, which Georgina denies, planning to try out Black Beauty upon staring at her just before John continues talking to Georgina and her mother while George privately talks with Jo Green.
Just as the horses are relocated to Earlshall Park, Georgina approaches Mr. York, whom he thinks that she made the decision to save Black Beauty which she narrates that she feels a bit uncomfortable of her tone just before Beauty is brought to her new stable. Just as she rides on Black Beauty, she puts too much pressure on the horse, ignoring advice from her mother as well as Mr. York. As Georgina continues to put more pressure on Beauty, she began narrating that she tried to stay patient, but began to feel uncomfortable for Georgina's cruel treatment to her. Georgina offers the ranch hand to cut the hair of Black Beauty after staring at her, commenting that she reminds her of a show horse. Riding on Beauty, she began to show a cruel treatment to her, causing injuries to the horse, resulting her to fall off. Beauty continued to narrate that she didn't feel like Georgina wanted to ride on her, but she did and continued to do the same thing she did before just as Jo sees the injuries she put on her.
The next day, Georgina rides on Black Beauty where she gets her ready for a race. Later when Beauty begins racing with the other horses, Georgina urges her to go after, albeit putting too much pressure on her as she had no idea what she was doing. Georgina's pressure, however, caused Beauty to lose the race, causing her to fall of Beauty, much to her parents' shock. Jo became furious of her for being selfish to her just before her parents take her home, followed by Beauty later being sold to Terry and Ginger being secretly sold to another man. She does not appear again throughout the rest of the film.
