Gia Hall is the protagonist of the 2021 Disney/Pixar animated short Twenty Something.

Background

When Gia was introduced, she is wearing an adult coat when she enters a club with her sister, Nicole when they both enter a club. Later, when Gia felt embarrassed while trying to adapt to her life as an adult, she is revealed to be three younger versions of herself, her one-year-old, ten-year-old, and sixteen-year-old counterparts respectively. When all three Gias became upset adjusting to this situation, Nicole approaches Gia, telling her that it is time to adapt to her life as an adult, which Gia transformed into an adult and started dancing with her sister.

Role in the short

Gia approaches a bouncer along with her sister, Nicole to which as Gia shows him her ID (which Gia doesn't look like her older self yet) and as Nicole tells him that it is her sister's birthday, he allows Gia and her sister to enter. As Gia enters the club, Nicole takes her to a bar where she gives her a menu so that she can order something. While reading the menu, Gia feels unsure of what she should order which Gia feels nervous about this upon seeing her hand shrink into baby size. As Gia hides into the restroom, she is revealed to have three versions of herself. At the restroom, the three versions of Gia recap of what they did earlier before they ended up in the club. the ten-year-old version of Gia tells her teen and baby forms that they are old enough.

Later, the three versions of Gia encounter Nicole who is dancing with a group of patrons. As Gia attempts to dance with her, she stumbles into another patron who fails to have a conversation with him. Suddenly, Gia's ten-year-old and sixteen-year-old forms argue with each other, much to Nicole's worry, just as the other patrons notice them arguing. Soon as Gia loses her balance, she is revealed to be three versions of herself just as Nicole protects her sister from the embarrassed patrons only for Gia's three selves to hide into the bathroom again. Nicole later approaches the versions of Gia as Nicole tells Gia to not be hard on herself, telling her that she is turning into a decent adult, which Gia transforms into her twenty-one-year-old self, making Nicole happy just as Gia and Nicole happily enjoy dancing together.
