Gilbert John "Gil" Lamb was an American actor, whose Disney roles included the Milkman (uncredited) in The Ugly Dachshund, the Gas Attendant in The Gnome-Mobile, the Waiter in Blackbeard's Ghost, Bit Comic (uncredited) in The Horse in the Gray Flannel Suit, the Policeman at the Park in The Love Bug, and Mr. Mitchell in The Boatniks.

Coming from a vaudeville background, Lamb became known for his contortionist-like dance routines due to his lean and lanky body. He got his entry visa to films via a stint as a character named Homer Clinker opposite Verna Felton in a slapstick radio segment of the "Rudy Vallee Show" in 1942.

Outside of Disney, he appeared in more than 60 films and television shows between 1935 and 1980. His film credits included The Fleet's In, Star Spangled Rhythm, Riding High, Practically Yours, Rainbow Island, Make Mine Laughs, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Bye Bye Birdie, Norwood, and Nightmare Circus. On television, he appeared in guest spots on shows, like Pistols 'n' Petticoats, The Ghost & Mrs. Muir, The Twilight Zone, The Howdy Dowdy Show, My Little Margie. Gunsmoke, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., The Wild Wild West, My Three Sons, B.J. and the Bear, and Little House on the Prairie.

On stage, Gil played Ichabod Crane in a 1949 Broadway run of "Sleepy Hollow", alas, rather short-lived. However, that same year Disney animators used his looks and movement as inspiration for Ichabod in The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad.
