Glenda Veronica "Glenn" Close is an American actress, producer, and singer, who is well-known for her portrayal of Cruella De Vil in the 1996 live-action remake of Disney's 101 Dalmatians and its 2000 sequel. She also played Vice President Katheryn Bennett in Air Force One, and provided both the speaking and singing voice of Kala in the 1999 Disney animated feature film, Tarzan, in which she performed "You'll Be in My Heart", a duet with Phil Collins. She reprised her role as Kala in its 2005 midquel. Additionally, she portrayed Irani Rael in the 2014 film Guardians of the Galaxy.

She is also well-known for her signature "witch-like" laugh and scream, as heard during her portrayal of Cruella De Vil, and is set to be a producer for the upcoming Cruella film.

In other work outside of Disney, she notably voiced Granny Puckett in Hoodwinked! and its 2011 sequel and Mona from The Simpsons. As well as her live-action roles in The World According to Garp (1982), The Big Chill (1983), The Natural (1984), Fatal Attraction (1987), Dangerous Liaisons (1988), Albert Nobbs (2011), The Wife (2017), and Hillbilly Elegy (2020) all of which earned her Academy Award nominations.
