Gloria + Green Café, formally Big Coffee and very briefly as Burger Clown, is a major location in Big City Greens, located right next door to the Green house. It serves as Cricket and Gloria's main workspace and a hangout location for the characters.
Background[]
It is implied that the establishment that was previously known as Big Coffee had been a privately owned business that had been standing for quite some time right next to the Greens' House. It was owned by Miriam Cho who ran the café. While it is implied that she had numerous employees, the only one that was visible on a constant basis was Gloria Sato. Following a string of property damage, Cricket Green became employed and quite possibly became the youngest working employee at Big Coffee.
While Cricket and Gloria continued to work there, the property was bought up by Chip Whistler who proceeded to demolish the building and build a Wholesome Foods in it place, as a result of Cricket and his family believing he changed his ways to take over as CEO. Thanks to Cricket and his friends, they were able to remove Whistler and the building was reestablished, albeit with no owner or café. The property was represented by Don & Dawn Realtors.
The building was briefly used under the ownership of the fast food business Burger Clown, but got shut down roughly one week after opening when Cricket and Bill got stuck in the play place slide.
The building was used illegally and briefly by Gloria in an effort to establish her own café and earn money to buy the building for real. She was found out and arrested, but was bailed out soon after. Gramma Alice, impressed with her determination, decided to use her retirement money to help buy the property for Gloria and renamed it Gloria + Green Café.
Trivia[]
- It is pronounced Gloria plus Green Café, but the plus sign is so small that it looks like it simply says Gloria Green Café.
