- Not only is the episode a clear reference to Cinderella, when Rizzo is describing the story, the pictures shown are recreations of the original movie, but with Muppetfied versions of the characters.

Controversy[]
When this episode premiered, some people were outraged and complained that it was changing Gonzo into a trans character, due to him wanting to be a princess, even though he has cross dressed in some of his acts on The Muppet Show. The producers have called out this controversy, claiming that the episode was meant to teach kids to embrace who they are and that the Muppets don’t discriminate.
