The Good Deed Counter is a wristwatch/bracelet-like device worn by Stitch in the Stitch! anime's first two seasons, Stitch! and Stitch! ~The Mischievous Alien's Great Adventure~. It was created by Dr. Jumba Jookiba to help Stitch keep track of his good deeds, which are needed to get his wish of "ultimate power" granted by the Spiritual Stone.
Background[]
After being introduced to the Spiritual Stone and seeing it exhibit a form of unusual energy, flinging off Stitch when he tries again to get power from it, Jumba quickly creates a yellow bracelet-like device for Stitch to keep track of his good deeds.
The device records the electromagnetic energy emitted by the stone based on Stitch's actions, analyzing it, and converting it into points that are displayed on a round teal-colored LCD screen. When the wearer (i.e. Stitch) does a good deed for someone else, the device will add a point to the counter, but if the wearer does a bad deed, then a point will be removed from the counter. The device will also flash blue whenever it counts a good deed and red whenever it counts a bad deed; it will also flash red as a warning if the wearer is close to committing a bad deed. If the wearer gets the necessary number of good deeds, which is forty-three (43), then they can have their wish granted by the stone. The device seems to display only unsigned integers (i.e. non-negative whole numbers) from zero (displayed as 00) to ninety-nine (99), so if the wearer does a bad deed with zero good deeds tracked, it will not go into the negatives and thus increase the number of good deeds they have to do. The device must be worn at all times; if it is ever taken off, whether by an outside force or the wearer themselves, the counter resets to zero. This reset is a security measure to prevent others from trying to steal the wearer's good deeds for themselves. As a result, Stitch wears the device on his retractable lower left arm for protection.
