Gorog is the leader of the Angels of Darkness. He first appeared in the Wizards of Waverly Place special "Wizards vs. Angels" and serves as a main antagonist of the fourth season.
History[]
Gorog is introduced in "Wizards vs. Angels", where Rosie, Justin Russo's girlfriend is revealed to be an Angel of Darkness. She is revealed to be working for Gorog and her influence turns Justin bad. She takes her boyfriend to meet Gorog, who praises Rosie for bringing Justin to him and because of Justin's new attitude, he agrees to work for Gorog. When Rosie learns Gorog plans to destroy Justin, she turns against him to convince Alex to save her brother. Together the girls find Justin who breaks his wand and claims himself as an Angel of Darkness. Knowing Justin is a good man, Rosie proclaims her love for him and tells him she was tasked by Gorog to fall in love with Justin as part of his plan, but found herself genuinely falling in love with the wizard. Now knowing Rosie loves him for real, Justin tells Alex to take the clock back to the guardian angels and kisses Rosie, who turns back to a guardian angel while Justin loses his wings. Gorog feels betrays and kicks the couple out.
Some time after Justin and Rosie break up and she returns as a guardian angel, Gorog returns in "Wizards of Apartment 13B" under the disguise Dexter, the owner of the secret 13th floor of the Windsor apartment building. He introduces himself as Dexter to Alex and her friend Harper Finkle, who rents the apartment to live together. However, Dexter reveals his true identity as Gorog to Max Russo after he is kicked out by Alex and Harper. As part of his plan, Gorog gives Max a leaflet for a wizard camp, who happily accepts.
Later in "Ghost Roommate", Dexter convinces Alex and Harper to get a roommate to help them pay bills. Gorog sends a robot to spy on the Russo Lair, where the robot tries to steal and read spells to steal the "in through out door" spell for Gorog. In "Get Along, Little Zombie", Gorog, disguised as Dexter, steals Felix's wand and replaces it with a fake. Worried because his wand is the most powerful wand in the Wizard World, Felix visits Justin, who tells him its a fake. They speak to Jerry for help, who suggests using the locator app and finds the wand down at the apartment building that Alex and Harper live in. Justin contacts Professor Crumbs, who has had no idea about the secret wizard floor at the Windsor apartments, greatly worrying everyone. When Alex and Mason Greyback return to the building, Dexter reveals himself as an Angel of Darkness and is the one who stole Felix's wand. Dexter then convinces Felix to work for him if he wants his wand back. Felix surrenders and agrees to work for Dexter and performs the "In through the outdoor" spell, trapping everyone on the 13th floor.
In "Wizards vs. Everything", Dexter reveals himself as Gorog and feels victorious for having trapped everyone on the 13th floor. Since no one else is able to leave, Alex and Justin convince Harper to escape since she is a mortal and should be able to return to the lair to contact Max for help. Gorog convinces all magical creatures to work for him by turning them all evil. Meanwhile, Alex and Justin are trapped in her apartment by a black hole, which Gorog summons, while Harper gets Max to leave camp and help his siblings. With the help from Harper and Professor Crumbs, Max is able to rescue Alex and Justin from the apartment and they return to the 13th floor to confront Gorog. Gorog reveals he found Juliet Van Heusen, Justin's ex-girlfriend and turned her young as part of his plan to use her. Tricking Gorog into thinking they surrender, the Russo siblings then use their magical abilities together as a team and destroy Gorog once and for all, freeing everyone, including Juliet, from his control.
Over a year later, after the Russo family wizard contest, Gorog is mentioned in The Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex, where his nephew Dominic, also evil, tries to use Alex Russo to take over the world since his uncle failed to do the same. However, Dominic falls off the Tower of Pisa and dies like his uncle, failing his task and Evil Alex is destroyed.
