"Grande Size Me" is the seventy-second episode of Kim Possible.

Synopsis[]

In an attempt to prove The Wheel of Good Eating wrong, Ron gains a dangerous amount of weight by eating nothing but Bueno Nacho, but soon this rebellious act turns deadly when he falls into a vat of serum during an investigation at HenchCo, and it transforms him into a giant mutant, Kim has to protect a laser from some of her worst enemies. While hulk Ron wrecks Bueno Nacho, Ned tells Ron to quit this madness.

Plot[]

Ron is freaking out after being told he has to take Health Class, since he never took it during Freshman Year. He becomes the only senior in the class, and much to his chagrin, Steve Barkin is teaching the class after the teacher injured herself by slipping on a banana peel. The first lesson is about good eating, and Ron becomes enraged after Barkin says it is bad to eat at Bueno Nacho every day. To prove Barkin wrong, Ron decides to change his diet so that he will eat nothing but Bueno Nacho food from hereon. While Kim eats Bueno Nacho's new salad dish, on stuffs himself with nachos, chimaritos, and quesadillas. He also has Rufus document everything with a camcorder. As expected, Ron's Nacho diet takes affect on his health. He becomes easily tired, sleeping more than usual, and starts gaining weight. Barkin and Kim try to get him to see reason and eat healthy, but he remains stubborn.

Later, Kim receives a sitch from Wade; HenchCo is auctioning off a major weapon; the Molecular Transducer, which can weaken solid objects to the consistency of a tortilla chip. Wade also says the Transducer has gotten the attention of all the villains Kim has ever fought against: Dr. Drakken, Shego, Señor Senior, Senior and Señor Senior, Junior, Monkey Fist, DNAmy, Professor Dementor, Duff Killigan, and even Gemini, who are all attending.

During the auction, Kim and Ron sneak through the air ducts, all the while Ron continues to eat and struggle with his weight gain. He remarks about how the air ducts appear smaller and snug, and Kim points out it is due to his Grande Sizing meal at Bueno Nacho. Ron feels insulted, but before he can fight back, he falls through the duct into a large vat labelled Project Titan which activates and alerts all of the villains.

Kim busts out of the vents and battles the villains for the Transducer. At the same time, Ron frees himself from Project Titan, now compromised. He shows up ready to fight, but he is already out of breath. All the villains look at Ron with concerned looks. Drakken comments on how different he looks, Killigan is shocked at what he has done to himself, and Monkey Fist tells him that he should take better care of himself. While the villains are distracted, Kim gets the Transducer and both she and Ron escape in the car.

Later at School, Kim gets Wade to organize a pick up to get the Transducer to Global Justice before Hench's goons come looking for it. Meanwhile, Ron has suddenly become more obese and gotten taller. He is also eating everything he can find.

Back at HenchCo, Hench orders his men to keep Kim under surveillance, knowing she will lead them to the Transducer. But he also knows the other villains will be after it too. The scientist gives an update on Project Titan, saying the mutation formula will only work if the subject has been exposed to extreme amounts of saturated fat, cholesterol, and preservatives. He even shows Hench a horrifying picture of what they would end up with if they could find someone who eats very badly.

Later at Bueno Nacho, Ron has gotten even large and consuming enormous amounts of food while Rufus has accepted defeat. Kim pleads for him to stop, but Ron refuses to back down on, insisting that he has something to prove. Kim leaves for her appointment with Global Justice, but Ron stays behind to finish eating. However, after Ron goffs down one last chimarito, the effects of Project Titan begins to mutate Ron into a fifteen foot tall hulk-like monster with an enormous appetite.

Meanwhile, Kim, accompanied by her brothers, Jim and Tim is on her way to deliver the Transducer to Global Justice. Kim and the tweebs soon realize they are being followed by Dr. Drakken along with Dementor, Monkey Fist, and Killigan. Then Ron shows up on a rampage for food. According to Wade, the only to return him to normal is to feed him the five food groups. The twins are more than happy to help out as they've always wanted to force feed vegetable to a senior. Kim agrees as long as they do not hurt him.

Ron finds a Cow and Chow burger restaurant and reaches inside to eat all the burgers. Kim arrives at the scene and the tweebs launch bran muffins and whole wheat pasta into his mouth. This makes him even angrier and begins to run after them. The tweebs launch carrots into his mouth with a bazooka. At the same time, Kim has to dodge and engage her enemies who want the Transducer. All their efforts are foiled by Ron's rampage. The chase soon leads to a mini-golf course. Monkey Fist orders the monkey ninjas to attack Ron, but he knocks them off with one blow. Even Monkey Fist finds himself alone outmatched and runs away in fear. As Ron corners Monkey Fist atop of a fake Empire State Building, Jim and Tim hit eggs into his mouth like golf balls. Ron gets angry and chases them to a nearby clown statue, where Kim launches a chicken into his mouth. Jim uses a donut on a fishing line to lure Ron to a boat statue where Tim launches a strawberry into his mouth. Tim attempts to launch grapes into his mouth, but Ron dodges them. Kim then takes the grapes and puts them in one of her guns and fires them one by one into Ron's mouth. This marks all five groups entirely and causes Ron to change back to normal. At the same time, Global Justice arrives for the Transducer.

The next day, Ron, now back to normal health, has learnt his lesson about eating right. He admits that some of the stuff on the wheel was healthy, and eating a balanced diet will keep someone from turning into a mutated maniac.

During the end credits, Ron breaks the fourth wall by talking to the audience about the need to stay away from being mutated as it is not always reversible, but several other students see him and become confused at who he is talking to. This prompts Barkin to send him to the office.

Trivia[]

  • The boy who talks to Ron at Bueno Nacho was voiced by a kid from the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Goofs[]

  • When Ron first mutates at the Bueno Nacho, he is wearing his usual red jersey. When he changes back to normal at the end of the episode, he is wearing his mission clothes. Actually, as he is demutating, his red jersey outfit is turning into his mission clothes.
    • Actually, that is still Ron's everyday outfit at the end. It is curiously missing the red jersey, which indeed vanishes as he demutates, but he still has on the black undershirt and brown pants he would normally wear with the jersey. You can tell it is not his mission outfit, since Kim is standing next to him in her own, so their pants would have been the same color.
  • Ron says he will eat only Bueno Nacho on his diet, but he is seen eating mini corn dogs and school cafeteria lunches, and he mentions eating doughnuts. While Ron was a mutant, he also grabbed some hamburgers from Cow and Chow.
    • Obviously, Ron was not in his right frame of mind as a mutant, so that last part could hardly be held against him. By then he was even trying to eat things that were not actually food.
  • When Ron mutates, Rufus is in the Bueno Nacho booth across from him, while filming him. A few seconds later, when Ron was grabbing any and all food in site, Rufus was seen on the table but only for a few seconds.
  • You do not see Rufus again, until Kim and the Tweebs see Ron chasing a giant doughnut, and then Rufus emerges from Ron's pocket. With Ron so focused on eating, it is unlikely that he would have put Rufus in his pocket, or vice versa, especially considering that Rufus had significant trouble even fitting into Ron's pocket before that point, with both of them having put on so much weight.

Allusions[]

  • The episode's title and plot is a reference to the documentary film Super Size Me.
    • In fact, Kim Possible made a pop-cultural cameo as one of the happy meal toys in the film.
