Grandpa Duck, also known as Grandpappy, is one of Donald Duck's grandfathers, who teaches him the virtues of hunting in Disney's 1955 animated short No Hunting. He was voiced by Bill Thompson.
He is often considered to be the same character as Grandma Duck's husband, given his name and looks. However, when Grandpa Duck reappeared in the 1994 Duck Family Tree drawn by Giovan Battsita Carpi, he and Grandma Duck's husband (as he appeared in The Good Old Daze from 1964) were shown on different portraits. Grandma Duck's husband was here called 'Nonno di Paperino' ('Donald's grandpa'), while Grandpa Duck from the 1955 cartoon was called 'Bisnonno di Paperino' ('Donald's great-grandpa'), implying that he's in fact one generation older than Humperdink.
